As the title says. My son and I have 2 characters. Maybe 10 total saves. Now recent saves have disappeared and new saves never show up. No error messages, just no save files. This makes the game completely unplayable. We have over 200 GB of free space on the ps5. Have tried turning off auto saves and deleting old saves. Nothing has worked. At this point I just feel like I was scammed out of $60. Has anyone found a fix for this???

*Creations is not communicating correctly with Bethesda.net to save your mod load order to their server so don’t even try it. Waste of time. Confirmed by Bethesda.

*The game/ps5 will remember your mod load order so set it and back out.

*If you’ve altered a mod load order always choose CURRENT when asked after selecting a game save to load.

Booting your ps5 into safe-mode and clearing cache then rebuilding the database will help performance but to be truly clean…

1. disable and delete your mods
2. load into your save file (choose no when prompted to download missing mods)
3. create a new fresh save file…not a quicksave
4. delete Starfield (but not your saved game data)
5. run safe-mode cleaning
6. reinstall Starfield and go to Creations, mod load list should be empty
7. back out of creations, load your clean saved game file, fly to a system with NO DLC OR MOD AFFILIATION (that means no Sol, no Alpha Centauri, no Wolf, no Porrima, no Volii, NOTHING) and stay in space. Manually create a new save file. Quit to menu.
8. go to Creations, library, redownload your mods one at a time. Let it download completely before backing out and selecting another. IF YOU CRASH DURING DOWNLOAD GO BACK INTO CREATIONs MOD LOAD AND DELETE THAT MOD if it’s there. Repeat.

*Mods are gonna crash the game, can’t stop it…”yet”, but the goal is to make it manageable.

*Stable mod load order requires two things. Compatibility and dependency. Pay attention to the mods descriptions/instructions.

The Fallout mod load order template is good to follow but Pay attention to the mods descriptions/instructions. Some mods will be an overhaul despite not labeled as such. File size and what the mod does will be the tell.

**Now…**here’s where the “yet” comes into play and if you’ve invested a lot of outpost or ship creation time this is going to hurt…Passing through the Unity after setting your mods will compress/restructure ALL the files for the universe, rebuilding the universe from scratch WITH the mods and 99% of your game crashing will stop.

Remove this if it's not allowed.

After considerable testing, these are the key things to keep in mind if you want to minimize performance issues:

1. Only use the Save option, avoid Quick Save, and disable ALL Autosave options.

2. Keep your total number of saves to three (always overwrite the oldest one).

3. The stability threshold with Creations seems to be around 30.

It is what it is, but sticking to these has consistently led to a smoother experience in my own testing.

I’m ploughing through Starfield on PS5 (with daily crashes!). I’m level 38, piloting skill 4 and starship design skill 2.

I’ve played around with shipbuilder and would like to build my own ship using Deimos Habs for a consistent look. However, I’m only being offered two or three of the same habs at most locations such as Cydonia, the Den, Akila, outpost ship builder etc.

I’ve tried the other ship manufacturers parts, Hopetec, Stroud, etc. and have the same issue

I want the captains quarters, control, infirmary, workshop and armoury habs but they don’t appear anywhere as far as I can tell.

I can see engines, reactors and other items that are greyed out and not available due to ship design skill.

Does anyone know what level or skill is needed to unlock all the habs?

It doesn’t matter what I do to prevent crashing, I cannot go far into a planet without a crash. I’m BUMMED. All I ever want to do is play Starfield but I can’t bc it’s not optimized. At this point I think I just need to shelve it in hopes it will get patched.

Bethesda if you’re seeing this please, I want to play your game!!
