USS Voyager (Large Scale) Post #7

Chief Engineers Log: progress on the hull plating has crawled along the last few weeks, as we have been hampered by supply chain issues. No doubt these issues have been caused by some ugly Ferengi-wannabe invading some other country but the less said about that the better.

For now my job is to try to get as smooth a curve around the rim of the saucer as possible. This is no easy feat when the material I'm working with is inherently rectilinear and therefore not suited for the curvature of the ship. I'm hoping the sheer scale of the ship will be an asset in this case. I will strive for perfection bit will try to not let perfect be the enemy of good.

Nonetheless, I have tried to use a system of 1x1 clips attaching to the flex tube framing. The clips then attach to a system of 4x4 or 6x4 plates, with the antistuds facing outwards. Once I have a large supply of 2x2 Inverted tiles I should be able to progress on finishing the plating.
