Discrimination LDS temple Springfield

Yesterday I went to go film outside of the new LDS temple during their public open house, was invited in, and after I was told I could enter as long as I was polite and not filming on the inside of the building like the rest of the public. As I tried to enter, I was then stopped by one of the head members there and told I couldn’t enter with my religious Hindu facial markings or Covid mask. They wanted me to take off my glasses, my Covid mask and my religious facial markings to enter. he then proceeded to say I “needed to shake off the scribbling on my face.“ I was shocked because their website says ‘come as you are.’ People can be dressed how they want be, different religions, & they were excluding me still. I asked about the ‘come as you are’ rule on their website and how they would deal with someone with a full face religious covering coming in for the public open house, such as muslim or Islamic.they told me they would not allow them in. and as I proceeded to try to walk on the outside of the building to take photos (since i wasn’t asked to leave yet & everybody else was) like the other members of the public, I was told I am now being trespassed by one of the head members when I was peacefully, doing the same thing as all the other public. A shameful encounter. This is sick and should not be so welcomed so blatantly in our community.

(also got assaulted by one of the public members for recording on the sidewalk/ being in her photo there, and am filing and pressing charges)
