If You’re Having a Hard Time Putting Stickers on Your Cars
You can use your finger to cover the surface of a piece with a layer of water, then use that same finger and run it along the surface of a bar of soap and do it maybe 2-3 times (water then soap) before applying a sticker on the surface. While the surface is still wet this gives you time to adjust the sticker as close to the center of the piece as possible.
My Speed champion colelction display before and after.
This is my collection before I replaced some of the display stands with 3d printed 3 high car lifts, and showing an after dispaly. What are peoples thought or ideas, or should i change it back, looking for all and any suggestions, thankyou.
I’m surprised this isn’t a speed champion set yet
I saw someone on social media mentioning the Lego speed racer sets back in 2008 and I thought wow I’m surprised the classic speed racer car hasn’t been turn into a speed champion set because it would be really cool bringing it back
F1 Speed Champions Before Speed Champions
Who would’ve thought we got a Ferrari F399, Lotus 97t, and the Jordan 197 as far back as the late 1990’s?
MOC of Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 5
This builder from the game is not perfect but been planning to put an full roll cage in the interior but space is tight and still adding on to this one and see what I can do to future builds.
The dude should sell his helmet decals. Right? Right??
I can't be the only one
Can I get a free replacement for this part?
Hello everyone
I recently bought a Lego Speed Champions Ferrari F40 (set number #76934)
and today when I was building it, I noticed that the windscreen has a huge scratch (running almost across the entire windscreen) and many smaller scratches too.
Since this is a QC issue, can I request for a free replacement part?
I’m impressed
Honestly, all the pictures I had seen do not make it justice. I’m a small collector of SC (30 cars) and throughout my time I have been staying away from this build, reason being, misconceptions due to boring pictures, specially official Lego, damn even the ones on the box. I recently found a good second hand deal, sealed box, and pulled the trigger for the sake of the collection, and so happy I did. I love it. Yes it’s a short and simple build, but still, impressed by the final looks. What’s your thoughts on it if you own or owned it?!
Formula drift mustang
I like watching them go so I just built one using the mustang dark horse.
New Lego Day
Did a lot of yard and landscape work for my mother last weekend (nothing out of the ordinary, I started taking care of the yard when I was 11 and have continued to do basic yard work as well and any projects she needs done for the last almost 30 years) and she handed this to me yesterday. I actually have both a built and a NIB version of every F1 car, so I’ll be hanging on to this as a collectors item.
GT3 RS Upgrade 3D printed
I made an Upgrade kit for the Lego Porsche speed champions with new tires, a new rear end, a completely new front and a carbon fiber hood.
The kit is uploaded to makerworld: https://makerworld.com/models/2632911?appSharePlatform=copy
Speed Champions definitely changed in 11 years 🤯
This was the most satisfying Speed Champions build I've ever done
I know 76904 is an older set, but I picked up just the car recently off of Ebay after seeing one of these drive by me at an intersection (and in purple, too). I guess someone really wanted the drag racer, which worked out fine for me.
Honestly, building this felt very similar to something from Rebrickable. You know when you buy instructions for a car and it feels like the designer is kind of 'living on the edge' with a lot of choices, but it still all comes together into a very solid finished project? That's this car.
And I was expecting it to be rather basic, too, given that it's a generally-blocky shape. Nope - internally, the hood and the rear end are both insane. It's great. Can't recommend it highly enough if you skipped it like I did.
Lamborghini Diablo
An older build but I finally took pictures before I need to cannibalize it for parts, and begin the real work of remaking it in rare dark purple (I had lots of red at hand but not my favorite color) . Not the most accurate build either but I wanted to emphasize the continous slope of the front and the the sweeping curves of those long slope pieces on the back and the sides. One of the most beautiful cars of all time.
