Screw Ball - Warren Muzak Mixed media 2026
"Screw Ball"
I built on a concept that started off as a drawing on Reddit's u/drawme page. I really liked the idea and character and redrew her with more care and attention to detail.
Graphite, Pen and ink, charcoal, and marker. 14" x 17" Bristol paper.

Never get between a Tortle and their next meal
Going through my procreate gallery I found an old unfinished piece from a few years ago of a Tortle eating some fruit after slaying someone who presumably tried to stop them from eating said fruit.
I quite liked the shape language but my colours were an absolute mess, everything was just a sea of greens in the same range, so I started pushing the colours to separate the foreground, background and the character. Then focused on trying make my values pop and add some texture to the rendering on the tortle themselves. I think I managed to save it a little from the drab place I'd left it.
