I (23 M, AuDHD) am looking to make friends. I can sometimes be really shit at socializing and general friendships. I make social blunders, and as a consequence have social anxiety. Sometimes I’m bad at responding to people. That’s why I put neurodivergent in the title, but I don’t mean exclusively. You’d just need to be okay that I sometimes mistake subtextual conversation cues or that I have a deep and abiding hatred for bright lights.
I like deep discussions-about whatever book we’re reading, politics, history, ecology (or in general whatever philosophical or academic domain you’re interested in). I love to talk about the state of the world and think about how interconnected all of these systems of thought are.
I’m into music. I play a few musical instruments (but I’m embarrassingly out of practice), and like to talk about music. I’m into rock, jazz, rap, R&B, reggaeton, cumbia (and a bunch of other genres- I really only don’t like country). I’m also into anime, and I like to discuss it.
I’m also interested in sports, both playing and spectating. I’m mostly into basketball and hockey, but I’m not that particular about which sports I play, and have general knowledge about other sports as well. I’d love to play pickup basketball or talk about the habs/victoires playoff run.
I like games, both video and board. I’ve been really into chess recently (but still can’t get my above 600 🫠). So play me on chess.com or the park. I’m also open to other games, I more just like the competition. I should also warn people that play me in sports or other games of competition that I am a serious competitor, and a lot more of an asshole when I’m playing something than in my everyday life.
