My QC Routine – Step by Step (and how you can QC like a pro too) 🧐

Hey everyone, Skye here.😘

For those new to the rep world, QC can be a real headache. It's timeconsuming, and sometimes photos/videos don't catch every little detail.

So today I'm walking you through my QC routine — step by step. Hope it helps you out.

---

Step 1 – Doublecheck order details📝

This means style, size, color, material — make sure everything matches.

I have a dedicated spreadsheet for every order. When a package arrives, I go down the list and check.

️Quick tip — especially for shoes: US, EU, and Chinese sizes don't always line up. Plus each factory and each shoe model has its own mold. The most accurate way?** Measure the insole length. Don't just rely on the size tag — that's how you get unnecessary size mistakes**.

---

Step 2 – Look for obvious flaws🚩

Things like stains, glue residue, loose threads, skipped or messy stitches.

Some items are factory stock, or workers just weren't paying attention — flaws happen. The stuff in my pics? Totally normal for handmade goods. If I can fix it myself, I will — erase glue marks, snip stray threads, use a little brush for dirt. If it's beyond saving, I send it back to the factory for a remake.

For you guys — just ask your seller for fullbody and closeup shots. You'll be able to spot these things too.

---

Step 3 – Check accuracy🔎

How strict I am depends on the price tier and factory level.

Broadly, two parts:

Overall shape / first glance
Compare with factory photos at a social distance. Is the print correct? Logo engraving right?

Fine details
This one takes experience. Big factors: how good the factory is at different tiers, and where the replica challenges are for each product.
I highly recommend asking your seller for zoomedin shots — hardware engraving, heat stamp, etc. Those are the core details. Only highertier factories tend to get them right.

For me, with factories and items I know well, QC is fast. Example: for LV bags, I mainly check the magnified logo print and edge paint evenness — that tells me pretty quickly if the bag passes.

If it's something I'm not familiar with, I pull up auth photos from the brand site or legit resellers and compare side by side.

---

🥰A few reminders

1. My main comparison is against factory photos, not auth. Why? Auth pics are often studiolit and can have color shifts.

2. Lighting and camera color can vary. If your first PSPs look off, ask for new pics in different light. Sometimes the product is totally fine — just needs a second chance. Don't redlight too fast.

  1. Same factory, different batches — or even same batch, different workers — can produce slight variations. I keep saying this: manage your expectations. I always shoot overall shots + details + videos for every order. We do our best to catch everything so you get what matches the factory pics. But please allow for tiny differences.

🌰Example: my C25bag from God Factory — the first batch I reviewed had completely flat quilting. Two weeks later, a new batch came with slightly puffy leather. Same factory, totally different feel. Not a quality issue, but I know some might be disappointed.

---

Last but not least
Thank you for trusting me. I know some of you chose me because you believe I'll QC every product carefully with my experience. I'll keep doing my best.🤗

Cheers,
Skye 💕

Chanel Leather Guide — Did You Know Calfskin Comes in This Many Types? 😱

Hi Skye here 👋

When it comes to buying a bag, it's all about leather and hardware. So today I'm breaking down the different types of Chanel calfskin. Knowing the pros & cons will help you pick the one that actually fits your life ✨

Turns out Chanel calfskin comes in quite a few varieties: caviar, pebbled, distressed, smooth, patent, crinkle patent, glossy embossed grained, metallic embossed grained, suede-effect, and more.

---

1. Embossed Grained Calfskin

Chanel's signature — a classic for a reason. Based on grain size and feel, it splits into caviar and pebbled. Then there are glossy and metallic versions too.

Caviar vs. Pebbled – Honestly, they look almost the same to the naked eye. But if you look close, caviar has smaller, tighter, more defined grains. Durability? Pretty much the same.

Glossy embossed grained calfskin – This one's pretty rare. Most classic styles don't use it. I've only seen it on a few newer releases.

Metallic embossed grained leather – Durable, scratch-resistant, and has a metallic sheen. This material is only available in certain colors. Under the light? Blingy, chic, and impossible to miss. ✨

---

2. Smooth Calfskin

Honestly, smooth calfskin and lambskin look pretty much the same to the naked eye — you can barely tell them apart. But yes, it's still calfskin. Durability-wise? Definitely not as tough as grained leather, and it scratches more easily. That said, it feels smooth, soft, and super nice to touch — supple with a bit of bounce. The shine is better too, and colors just pop more. ✨

---

3. Distressed Calfskin (Vintage Calfskin)

This is the leather Chanel uses most on the 2.55. It has that wrinkled, aged look — very retro. Feel-wise, it's pretty soft, and durability-wise? Honestly just as tough as pebbled calfskin.

---

4. Patent Calfskin

What we usually call patent leather. Comes in V-stitch, quilting — classic CF bags use it too. Made of calf, feels smooth and a bit stiff, with excellent gloss — very modern and sleek. Also water-resistant. Downsides? It scratches easily and picks up color like crazy. Every color except black will absorb dye. Black won't, but over time it gets sticky to the touch. So try to avoid rubbing it against dark materials.

---

5. Patent Crinkle Calfskin

Looks kinda like patent, but it's actually crinkle calfskin with visible crease marks. The upside? It makes the bag look extra glossy and high-end, while still being relatively durable.

---

6. Suede-Effect Calfskin

Made of calf leather with a soft, fuzzy finish — feels smooth and delicate. Pretty durable, but it gets dirty easily, loves to pick up dust, and absolutely hates water. Any moisture can leave marks, and if you don't deal with it quickly, over time the leather can stiffen and even get moldy 😬

---
Think about your daily habits, how much wear & tear you're okay with, and the vibe you're going for. Happy shopping, and spend wisely 💕

If I missed anything, feel free to drop it in the comments. 👇

Cheers Skye🥂
