Guys, I just had to do the Shushing Light Scholar for today’s quest FOUR TIMES. Why did I have to do it four times? Because three of those four times, I was working on it, and someone tagging along (watching from outside the carry circle radius, thankfully) got impatient and decided “I can just fly it up to the next spirit spot!”. And promptly managed to drop the spirit into the abyss, forcing all of us to start over. The third time, I was about two steps from finishing the spirit. Literally, there was no reason for the piggyback pair to swoop in and try to take the spirit anywhere. I just needed to take a couple more steps forward, on completely solid ground. But no. They swooped in and out and the spirit fell again. I swear I saw red for a second, and I kind of wished we had an emote that lets us straight up pummel another player.

Please. If someone is already doing the spirit, just pop into the circle for a second so it registers you’re doing it, too, and back off. This is one of those spirits where too many cooks in the kitchen pulling the spirit around screws everybody. And trying to take shortcuts and failing screws everybody. I know it takes forever, I get wanting to speed it up. But you know what also takes forever? Having to restart it three more times because of people trying to take shortcuts.

I hope you are doing well! I'm hosting a team-oriented event called "Season of Carnival: Tournament of Champions!"! This tournament is available for both the SkyCOTLFreeTrading jointed server with the Treehouse Days in Discord to participate as well as this subreddit! Other Sky Communities are welcome to join in as well!

First and foremost, this is a synchronous competition! :) I'm looking for people who are ready for a challenge, enduring, and have great skills at throwing **cough, cough** yeeting **cough, cough**, things. :) Let the games begin!

Here is what it will look like:

  • Teams are now available to be formed from now (April 22nd till April 27th* ***(soft deadline)**, where hard deadline is April 30th*).*
  • There will be allowed six teams (depending on how many people participate, there may be subteams as well), one of each representing each Sky realm: Isle of Dawn (since, why can't it be a favorite or option in games? There are seasonal spirits there too!), Daylight Prairie, Hidden Forest, Valley of Triumph, Golden Wasteland (for all of you wasteland lovers out there), Vault of Knowledge, and as a surprise, Eye of Eden can be a realmed team!
  • Team members, depending on how many there are per team, will be able to rotate between members based on the competition or take turns.
  • Time will be needed in order to form teams, so I'm giving everyone around five days to engage and form them. I was hoping that people will be able to stay engaged during this time, so I know you are still interested. :) I'll try to do polls in the meantime, so everyone is still ready for when the event ends. When you select a team, feel free to make a community flair for yourself (post here if the option isn't allowed and I'll unlock it), so I know which participates are part of which team!
  • The max amount of players per team is 3 per realm selected. If there is more than 3, a sub team can be created. There will be a second-chance and winning bracket, allowing people a second chance if they aren't able to get in the top three.
  • If there is a timer on some of the competitions, teams will be given three tries as a team, not per person to get to the top of the leaderboard.
• [⌛] Competition Locations/Times
  • I know that time doesn't allow everyone to attend, but I do hope some of you all will be able to while you are on Sky, anyway. :) It is fun to sometimes just play rather than candle running. Remember the Instagram post by TGC? Something to the effect of, "Trying to convince my friends not to candle run and join me!" in the seasonal area!
  • Locations will be picked at random and set up to compete every other day. Locations and time for attendance will be posted the day before or promptly after a competition has ended. The competitions will be set up by me. :) Please no practicing the competition shared space, before the actual competition day. This is to help everyone have a fair competition. :) Details of the shared space will be completely transparent!
  • There will be three specific competitions for the winning and depending on the number of teams, additional ones for the secondary bracket, who will evidently battle the winner in the end to get the ultimate prize.
• [🎁] So, what is the prize?
  • The prize currently is...hearts. :) I hope that you will all still participate, even if it is still hearts. It is to promote community and that is what Sky is about, as well as to have fun! Remember, I'm not rich, but I can help as much as I can! ^-^ If anyone wants to gift as well, let me know and I'll update the prizes as necessary!
  • First place winning team: 2 hearts per person on the team, Second place winning team: 1 heart per person on the team, and Third place: 1 heart per person on the team. :)

Live updates will be posted as often as possible on how the competitions, atmosphere, and game-ending, respectful, bragging rights may be! :) There will be times to share photos, feedback, etc., during the competitions!

Hello! I am new to the sub but not the game. I just had an amazing experience. I'm an early morning player so it's generally quiet. Every now and then I'll find a player just absolutely killing it on instruments. Today was one of those days. They played the piano for over 30mins and I just sat and listened to them. Not sure why but you legit made me cry hearing that many beautiful songs. The skills players have is just amazing. Thank you for letting us be your audience 🥰 for any others who play instruments, I hope I find you preforming as well and can cheer you on!
