My depiction of the tales of zonbi in Haitian folklore. The original Zombies where a person's agency is stolen, turned into a slave by a bókó.
This is the first subject of a series on the legends that Haitians fear and respect.

“Immediately after the Second World War, a series of apartment complexes sprouted across Paris and the surrounding suburbs in response to the housing crisis. [...] In his series Souvenir d’un Futur, Kronental documented the living quarters, as well as the residents of each complex. More works by Kronental in this week’s edition of As I Was Moving Ahead Occasionally I Saw Brief Glimpses of Beauty, my newsletter on modern and contemporary art.
