"The Hunt for Knifepoint" not starting

I completed the previous one - "The Hunt for Boris" - long ago. But on the wiki page I discovered that there's a whole quest chain after that...

But the next quest just won't start. Caleb is in his home but just won't talk to me. I tried to force this quest to start by a console command - but nothing happens.

Is there a known cure for this or am I cooked?

Missing Franklin's store

I finished It Came From Planet X, got the popup saying I'd unlocked Franklin's Martian Memorabilia by Tinuvia, sent them to Sunshine Tidings and built them their special house. They've moved in so I tried to build the store for Franklin but it doesn't show up in my list of commercial plots. I assigned him to the plot and refreshed the plot cache but it still isn't there. Please help.

CPD quest "Catastrophe Prevention Drive" completely broken

It just won't start. I had problems with the previous quest too, but I finished it a long time ago and can't remember the details. I chose "lawful justice" path I think.

Lena Forseti for some reason won't come back to the CPD HQ. She's just hanging out in Lexington, standing there doing nothing.

Also I don't know if BADTFL should be renamed into CPD HQ, because that's what I read - but it stays BADTFL for me. There are some CPD officers inside - but for some reason raiders still spawn alongside them.

And well, I tried to start it using console commands. Won't work either. Hellhounds won't spawn outside, Simon isn't interactable. When progressed by commands further - hellhounds spawn inside, but officers still just hang out there.
And well, Lena Forseti isn't there: at the stage "talk to the captain" and "rescue Lena Forseti" nothing happens. No quest markers, can't talk with Simon, even though I killed the hellhounds. Can't progress further.

Is there a way to somehow "repair" this? Reverting to previous save is not possible.

Why isnt Sanctuary upgrading itself?

I've done everything yet nothing happens, I gave every building power, I even made Sanctuary into a capital city with NLTC contract, I captured the gunners hq and set it up nicely but none of my settlements wants to upgrade itself, every one has a mayor, enough supplies and caps, have caravan trading routes, I even checked the settings turned off settlement build limit performance boosters and son on. Any help?

Half Built Settlements.

So I set up my sim settlement in Santuary, completely automated. When i go to refresh the plan or set a new leader, it does the reset but when it says its finished, it looks....off. Like its not done. Floating power couplers, walls without foundations, half built rooms with roofs and now walls, and a complete lack of decorations and plots. Ive been searching for answers for like 3 hours now but everything is talking bout SS2 and I really prefer SS1. Im a few hours into this playthrough and Id prefer trying to fix it as upposed to starting over with SS2.

Vault 88 Problem - Settlers do not work.

I am using the "Vaulted Vault 88 - Sim Settlements 2 City Plan Contest Winner October 2021" City plan and all the corresponding mods in the old, pre-NG fallout 4.

The issue I am having is that settlers assigned to jobs will barely work in Vault 88. One settler, for example, sat at her desk for 10 seconds (entrance of Vault 88), stood up then went to seat in a random chair in another room.

Another issue I am running into, is that the Mr. Handy that comes with the laundry plot in "SS2 Superstructures" just stops working randomly and wants to leave the plot.

I googled about this issue and there seems to be 3 common responses to this issue;

  1. Vault 88 is too big, which makes it so that settlers don't interact with a lot of plots - People recommended downloading Settler Sandboxing expansion mods, which I did, but did not really seem to fix anything.
  2. Vault 88 is bugged for other reasons besides the sandboxing and settlers don't behave correctly there - You can't fix it.
  3. There are too many other animation markers and entertainment plots, which according to some people, have higher priority than their job in the settlers' AI. In other words, the settlers are prioritizing all the other plots and leaving their jobs for last. - I could not find a fix for this.

My other settlements seem to be working fine, and settlers actually work, but maybe this has to do with the fact that they are poorly built and there are no city plans, animation markers or barely anything other than their stores.

I want to know if there are other people experiencing this issue in Vault 88, what is the reason behind this issue, and if there is a fix for this.

I finished the quest Moving Day and talked to HQ with my pip boy and went to GNN HQ like Jake told me to and he's just standing still in front of the doors to the room holding the comm hub. I tried talking to him and no dialogue happens, just his default greeting lines.

I first tried fixing the quest by teleporting Chris Mansfield to GNN HQ by using the Moveto Player command which didn't work because he is also now just standing still and only saying his default greeting lines. Then I tried using the City Manager 2078 holotape to skip to the quest but this also isnt working since the quest never started when I did so.

I am using the Storywealth collection from Nexus, could SS2 be possibly conflicting with anything in there?

I've made a "SS2 Simulator" web tool to help plan and keep track of costs & resource production per settlement and caravan network. It's a personal project but I'd call it a good "beta" version if it helps anyone else, and I could use documentation help with HQ and Chapter 3 elements.

https://ss2-simulator.vercel.app/

I built this as a side project to keep my web dev skills sharp and because, for the first time in many playthroughs of SS2, I enabled upkeep costs and suddenly my whole settlement network went hard negative on caps and scrap. It was alarming as I hadn't realized how much I was playing easy mode before, so I got inspiration to build something to help me plan out a sustainable settlement network. It's not a perfect tool yet and there are still a lot of features I want to implement, but it's at a point that I wanted to share in case it helps anyone else.

For now there is no help/tutorial because it should be self explanatory for anyone already familiar with SS2, but please let me know if anything is unclear.

The plots data used to calculate production and upkeep costs comes from spreadsheets available in the SS2 wiki, but I'm not sure they're up to date and I haven't found data on Chapter 3 plots. There are also some data issues I haven't been able to figure out, such as the Cleanliness ratings being very off compared to how the same set up reflects in game.

Also, as far as I'm aware, there isn't any data on HQ costs or Chapter 3 specific plot production and upkeep values. If anyone knows differently, please correct me and point me in the right direction. Because I can't account for these things yet, this simulator effectively works up until Chapter 2. However it should still allow you to play around and plan a settlement network with enough surplus for Chapter 2 & 3 things.

I'm eager for feedback to know if this kind of thing is useful to anyone else, and what other features you'd like to see that aren't in yet if so.

Not sure why

I’m not sure why I’m avoiding continuing on in SS2. I do plan on finishing the game, but I seem to have fallen into a pattern of slow playing the quests. I start a quest and then get sidetracked with the vanilla game storyline and quests.

It was only after I finished the game the first time that I discovered mods. I starting adding mods to that session, but with all the issues with the mod and the Anniversary Edition, I had to give up on ss2 until the patch. I started a new game and I’m loving it even more, but I just don’t know why I am not working my way through it more quickly.

I am at end of Chapter 2 and for some reason I haven’t sprinted into chapter 3.

Has anyone else done this?

Like the title says. I think they're alright in interior plots when they're on the walls (but probably better without them), but when I have four plots next to each other the ASAMs like a row of parking meters and it really bugs me... suggestions?
