BREAKING I Sharks ask URC to investigate Hooker incident in match against Ospreys

Whether right or wrong, the sharks have moved to request an investigation.

I can understand that but I have to say players that make themselves guilty of this, should not be selected. For any professional team.

Will Marco personally address the failures that have occurred under him?

We have been through 4 coaches in 5 seasons, with the coaches always getting the blame put at their feet, but clearly the issues are far bigger and deeper than poor coaching.

There have been terrible decisions made since day 1 of the MVM take over, to name a few:

* Hiring a 7s coach as director of rugby.

* Getting a fucking gambling company as a title sponsor.

* Getting Umbro as a kit sponsor while Bulls and Stormers get Addidas and Puma.

* Signing big name players that would be often unavailable and cost a huge amount.

* Keeping Everitt as head coach but changing the team he had built, without his input.

* Allowing Coetzee to bring in his mate to 'consult' and then letting his mate leave with players and coaches.

* Marco using his social media to amplify Rassie/Springbok discourse during the Rassie videogate thing, aligning us with that nonsense.

* Marco making stupid AI videos about the Sharks on social media.

* Changing the branding, using stupid buzz phrases and reportedly looking to change the brand again.

* Hiring a CEO with no relevant experience who doesn't live in the province.

* Making an entirely new position for the failed attack coach.

* Creating by far and away the most expensive tier of season ticket in the country.

Literally every single one of those things should be put at Marco's feet, no one else but him should have to answer for all of this nonsense.

Question is, will he answer for it? Or will we just get more corporate jargon and another fall guy?

Ethan Hooker situation, what happens now?

Can someone explain what happens now? Can the Sharks or SARU look for some kind of action against the player and the ref?

I'm heart broken for Ethan, with everything happening in his life this is the last thing he needs. Hope he gets the support he needs.

For the 2nd time in 5 URC seasons, the Sharks have failed to qualify for the URC knockouts and Champions Cup

Reminder to Sharks fans, this is what the rest of SA think of us

Even SARU sees us like this. Giving all the other teams Springbok vs All Black games, and some even second Springbok games this season. They don't give the Sharks an AB game and only give the Sharks Wales.

Everyone in SA including SARU hates the Sharks.

So no Yellow for Morgan?? For landing on Ethan hooker

A rugby team can be heavily punished if a player jumps on an opposition player while they are scoring a try, as this is considered foul play.

Depending on the referee's interpretation of the action, the following sanctions can apply:

Penalty Try & Yellow/Red Card: If the action constitutes dangerous play (e.g., jumping on a player in the act of scoring), a penalty try can be awarded if the referee believes a try was imminent, and the offender may receive a yellow or red card for dangerous/reckless behavior.

Penalty Kick: If a try is not awarded, a penalty kick will be given against the defending team.

Dangerous Play Rules: Law 9.11 prohibits any action that is dangerous to an opponent. Jumping on a player, particularly if it involves dangerous contact with the head or neck area, is deemed illegal and subject to sanction.

While players are allowed to dive to score a try themselves, they cannot jump into or onto a defender, and defenders cannot legally jump onto an attacker who is grounding the ball.

Questions have to be asked about the conditioning of these players, the injury situation is insane

u/Die_Revenant — 3 days ago

Please don't renew or buy season tickets next season

There is only one way to show the people at the top what they have done. Please don't keep giving them your hard earned money. I sure won't be.

Why can't we do what the bulls just did

They team and game management made a tight game look easy in the second half

Though one can argue that their strengths work well in there conditions

Their setup like a tough test match team

Where as the Sharks are seemingly a disjointed mid table super rugby esque team

We play a different Walsh team in wales in almost exactly 24 hours from the bulls kick off, can we do what they did, I'm not sure

Bulls also have two formidable from rows, where as we only have one, and ours is on the bench

Another abysmal reffing performance however...

I know it's a cliche to say we can only blame ourselves but fuck me. I like what JP is doing with this team, attacking and confidence wise, giving youngsters a chance, but Jesus fucking Christ the conditioning of these guys is not good enough, the mistakes come from lack of fitness, conditions were perfect and the dropped balls and rookie mistakes man. We need a serious S+C coach to take a hold of these professional athletes

Just so frustrating

First of all disgraceful officiating, diving in a player after he already scores and nothing is done, also very questionable on the sudden injury to their reserve prop, but all of that isn't why we lost, we lost due to poor decisions, only putting our best front row on with such little time left was a mistake especially since they should have started, and honesty my biggest concern is whatever is going on with our conditioning, how do we have so many injuries for the 3rd season in a row, yes we buy all these big names but they never play because they are always injured, how can sharks management see this happen and not make a change with our conditioning coaches, the bulls only had 3 players unavailable due to injury this weekend meanwhile we have enough players injured for a matchday 23, seriously how can you find that exceptable??? We keep on changing head coaches but fail to realise what the real problem is

Seasons Over With 3 Regular Season Games Left, and we only play other teams who also can't make the top 8

There's a lot we need to work on for next season URC and Challenge Cup

Pre season structure with so many players not there as they will be with the boks

Which players to show the door too

Conditioning, injuries on injuries

Loose forward balance, zero fetchers in our team (Maybe Matt Romao, bless his heart but Tino not making an impact)

Play the guys who will be around next season for the last 3 games, no point in selecting Kolisi

I Wana see Siyaya, Albie Bester, Lili Bester, PK Sobahle, Ethan Bester

Guys like Jaco Williams if his back from injury

Another issue is Both Fez and Eddie Swart are not up too it, and Bongi is fading, can Kerron make an impact, Calvert looks small, Ethan Bester looks promising though

Bulls have two really good front rows that Scrum the opposition into the ground, we only have one, and the when they pretend they can't Scrum we do not have the hands to pass around them
