Hello, I am a girl in her late twenties who is still living with her family as we are Arab, and this is common in Arab and Muslim communities that women live with their parents until they get married.

My father is extremely emotional and angry. We have been living in UAE for 25 years.. I have always had problems with my father due to his anger issues.

He hit me really badly 6 years ago and I have pictures, however I didn’t report it to the police at that time, as my siblings were young and I didn’t want to create issues.

I have lived outside for around two years as we always got into fights

Now I don’t have a job and he is kicking me outside the house saying he doesn’t want to see me and that he won’t let me step foot inside the house, I am under his visa.

I really want to be around my mom and siblings and I don’t want to leave the house , however our issues most of time stem from that he makes curfew rules like for example my curfew is at 10 pm and I can’t leave the house past 5:30 pm even though I am 28 ( so I can stay till 10 only if I left before 5:30). There are ofcourse other things as he will as he always picks up rights on small issues..

I came home today at 10:30 pm and he is kicking me out, saying I need to leave tomorrow, I was only shopping in small near the house

I tried speaking to him about this, but he is not listening and we got into a fight , so I told him I will report this to the police or to the sheikh where he always prays, is this something that can help?

I am really heartbroken and i don’t know what to do. I don’t have a job or money to rent. And I ideally want to stay with my family. Is there any organizations that help woman in this case in UAE? I am not Emirati but have UAE residency.

It felt really uncomfortable, and I got anxious and ended up messing everything up. I had just one minute per question and couldn’t finish properly. I left some answers incomplete. I’ve asked the recruiter to reschedule the interview for Monday.

Would HireVue still share my incomplete recorded interview with the recruiter?

Is there a contact number or higher up Municipality management I can invite to inspect a construction site in Al Nahdha ( close to LuLu ) ?

The piling is absolutely ridiculously done using the cheapest equipment and I'm sure no one has had a peaceful day. I actually live further away from the site but it's really loud and I have no idea how people are bearing this.
