Anyone know how to make the mirrors fold once you lock the car?

I have a 2015 facelift version and it has the function to fold the mirrors in but must be done manually. I've used a Carista but didn't find the option to do this. Also anyone know how to program stop start to not turn on?

Help!!

I want to buy a Scirocco r, I have found a 2010 manual with 108k miles on it. It has full service history last one at approximately 103k, it’s had x2 Cam belts/water pumps. One at 73k and one at 102k. Original clutch is on the car, it’s had wear and tear suspension parts replaced.

I have done some research in to high pressure fuel pumps, fuel pump cam followers. What else should I look out for? How good are the manual clutches? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Calliper painting

Looking to paint my brake callipers, any suggestions on what would be a good accent colour for the car? I’ve always loved red callipers (the interior lights are red so it could (?) suit) but I’m not sure they’d match too nicely. The car itself is navy with black accents.

Scirocco rattling noise

2012 scirocco 2L diesel , anyone know if this noise coming from around the engine. New cam belt, new water pump and new clutch, drives nice and smooth with no issues. However making this ‘rattling’ type of noise when running the car but the noise quietens longer you drive the car. However mostly likely needs oil changing but just curious of to what it could be. Any help would be nice thanks.

Does this sound normal?

Helloooo,

So I recently got a 2013 Petrol 2lt Scirocco - before purchasing I asked for the timing chain to be replaced and respective tensioners etc.

However I am always slightly worried when it’s not my own mechanic doing work as it’s not a mechanic I know or have built trust with.

I know the engines tend to be on the louder/have a ticking sound from what I read up on, but just wanted to check if this sounds too loud or abnormal? (The car is also up to temp this is not a cold start)

I did test drive before the timing chain was replaced and I can’t really remember how it sounded then as I think I was just like ooo this feels nice to drive.

I would greatly appreciate any insight!

7 years, 80odd thousand miles and it’s still on the drive way.

7 years since I collected my 2010 Scirocco GT TDi 170ps and It’s still the family car (do have a pick up for work) currently approaching 230,000 miles too.
Never seen the need to change it. It still looks great, always liked the design. It’s more than fast enough, comfy does 55mpg on a trip and so far it’s never let me down. Really reliable with only general maintenance.
It’s hard to think it’s a 16 yo car. Don’t think I’d ever sell it just maybe add another car to the collection.
Ps I still have the Golf too. Altho that is for sale.

Headlights

Hi, maybe someone knows why the yellow/torquoise wire of the headlight connector is cut and goes inside the car interior? When headlights are turned off this headlight is off, but the other one that still has the cable connected is on
