Summary:
Prime Video already committed to two seasons of Scarpetta, so Season 2 was guaranteed from the start. Filming reportedly resumed in March, although there’s still no official release date yet.
The main cast is expected to return, including:
- Nicole Kidman as Dr. Kay Scarpetta
- Jamie Lee Curtis as Dorothy
- Bobby Cannavale as Pete Marino
- Simon Baker as Benton Wesley
- Ariana DeBose as Lucy
The dual-timeline format (present day + 1990s storyline) will also continue.
Season 2 is expected to pull heavily from Patricia Cornwell’s novels Cruel and Unusual and The Body Farm — two of the darker and more psychological entries in the series.
