This sub is going to get nuked if people can’t follow the rules.

Zero sales talk, period. No asking about prices or if people have firearms for sale, no DMs, no trades, not one iota of transfer or sales talk between users. This is the rule everywhere on Reddit.

I'm in between both locations and ideally would love to go to the range after work to practice more, I've only ever been to Morena during the weekend to DROS a lower so I don't know how busy it gets in either location for range time or how it's setup. Which one would you pick solely for only going on the weekdays. Only range I've been to is PWG but driving on the 15 during rush hour is less than ideal now.

People who shoot glass bottles are lame

Missed the memo that pink gate was closed so rocked up today ready to do a quick session before sunset just to see the no shootings signs (which explained why no one was there). Since I’d already made the trip and had a big trash bag with me I decided I’d enjoy the sunset and pick up some trash. Glad to help keep the place clean but couldn’t help but be annoyed by all the glass bottles some bozos decided to shoot. Whatever you do, don’t be that guy!

Came accross ccwatlas.com

Decided to see where I was allowed and not allowed to carry round my city. Apparently the complex playground right outside my front door is a no carry zone. lol

For those that have gone through the CCW process in San Diego recently and within the last couple years, what questions do they call and ask your references? Wife and friends are asking.

Just had “interview” and finger prints done.

Thabks in advance.

BLM/Desert Shooting Over Summer?

Do people shoot out at Split Mountain or other places during this season and over summer? With Pink Gate closed for fire season it is unclear to me if 'all' BLM is closed and what risks I'm running if I head out to the desert to shoot.

And while I'm at it, are there any other places I should be aware of? The only other places I've heard of (but not been to) are:

1N09 Shoot Spot

and

Split Mountain

New to ccw in SD where has the best selection of holsters. I see alot on line but its hard to tell how they will feel from a picture. Where can i go and actually see them and test them? What are some personal favorites for a Springfield hellcat with a green dot?

Finally selling the P89 I bought new back in the 90's. It's too heavy to EDC, it's always been kind of sloppy while cycling, and I REALLY found myself missing my Ruger Security Six I got rid of last year, so I ordered up a new Taurus 605 from DGM Santee. Looking forward to being back in the revolver game.

Anyone know of any local gunsmiths that do good stippling work? Trying to add some grip to my staccato. Thanks.

Application guide

I am filling the CCW application and would appreciate if there is any application guide conversation link available here.
They are asking serial# of firearm in application. How it is possible to get serial# without purchasing one ?

Open Sheriff's Appointment 6/1

Hello all, I need to reschedule my CCW sheriff's appointment, so I will be giving up my time slot at 6/1 at 10:30. Wanted to give the group a heads up if someone wants the slot!

Advice/tips for a first timer's visit to Pala/PSR?

Planning to go out there soon but wanted to get any advice folks might have. I've gone to indoor ranges for many years but only ever visited outdoor/rifle ranges twice and not recently (and never PSR). I read over the (mostly legible...) safety brief on the site, all makes sense and what I'd expect. Just looking for tips.

One question I have (which I'll also absolutely ask an RSO before taking anything out of my car, but wanted to ask here too): I have an ca-legal AR with a hellfighter mod, which means I cannot lock the bolt back. The safety brief specifies sections like "RIFLES MAY BE PUT IN THE RACKS WITH THE ACTIONS OPEN AND MAGAZINES OUT BEFORM 8AM" and "WHEN WE GO HOT AFTER 8AM WHEN BRINGING YOUR RIFLES TO THE LINE MAG OUT BOLT BACK" among other sections that refer to action open or bolt back. Since I can't do that, should I expect having a chamber flag (which is mentioned elsewhere under other conditions, and I do have and use), mag out, and the upper cracked via the mod to be sufficient? If not what's the expected way of dealing with this?

Thanks in advance.
