Sampo SP hasn't been released yet, but is Yaoguang worth getting? I'm almost certain he'll be in the Elation path, but there's a small chance that he won't be, and I don't know if I should wait for his release before thinking about his teammates.

I have noticed a fun thing, Sampo is always there or relevent at the beginning of a new big patch.

1.0: First person meet on a brand new planet, helped us subtly till the end only to leave us without explanations or goodbyes. (if you don't count the trailblazer's dream where he breaks the 4th wall, wich looks like a message mostly aimed at the player than the MC.)

2.0: Penacony, even if it's Sparkle disguised, the real Sampo was still relevant in Sparkle's companion quest. We also got Tatalov's lore that could potentially foreshadow's Sampo's past.

3.0: Of course they wouldn't put Sampo in Amphoreus out of nowhere but despite that, there's an NPC, I would assume, entirely referencing Sampo. From his hair color, eyes color to his mannerism and speech pattern even the trailblazer acknowledged. (there's also a few of references to Sampo on Amphoreus)

4.0: Sampo makes a short appearance in Planarcadia but doesn't stay relevant after this so far. It looks like he was just there to get his mask back and that's it. Maybe he'll be relevent again later this 4.X patch or muuuuuch later.

It just look like there's a pattern where Sampo appears briefly at the beginning of a patch in the main story but never stays relevant. Kinda similar to his first apperence in Jarilo; he keeps on appearing and disappearing. He gets a few appearances (if lucky) in events and small quests but nothing much.
I don't really know what to make of this information or if it really matter but I like the fact he's always there no matter where we are, lurking around as if making his presence known without interfering (yet)

Sampo and Fulwish are so identical to each other in ways that are completely unexpected. Himeko talked about Fulwish’s student days, saying that she was someone who was kind & considerate and passionate yet lonely. While we don’t know anything about sampo’s past, behind his “scammer” persona, he strives to help those in need but never gets too close to others. He views relationships as “business” & only lets his facade fall with children or those who already sensed his fake act(sparkle) \[Check photo 2 and 3. You don't have to check them to understand the whole analysis but you may want to check it out for further understanding\]

Fulwish and sampo are both lonely people in their own ways. But another thing that makes them so unified is their pursuit of elation which is “everyone deserves a happy ending” \[Photo 4 and check the comment of this post for Sampo's desire to make everyone happy]

What’s interesting is that fulwish can literally hear people’s desires bc of her happiness syntax but she can’t perceive pain. she fears her own mask (pain) and refuses to face it until the end \[Photo 5\]

Avoiding her mask (pain) makes her unable to understand what joy truly is. it’s the struggle that makes wishes more precious, bc the roads you build to get there are the parts that give meaning and ‘fulfillment’. What made fulwish get to this point was the cruel joke planarcadia played on her-monitizing her sorrow and asat pramad’s gift (mask). That’s why she calls her own life a “joke”, despite all the pains she went through, that’s what the Arcadia reduced it into. \[Photo 6\]

If people are going to laugh at her regardless of what she does, she would rather control that laughter too and willingly become a joke. despite praising aha, she actually hates them bc they also laugh at mortal sorrows. \[Photo 7\]

What she wants deep down is to erase pain so that no one can take advantage of it, so no one else becomes a joke played in someone else’s hands. that’s why she ultimately failed. \[Photo 8 and 9\]

A happiness where freedom doesn’t exist isn’t happiness. it becomes an artificial emotion someone else imposed on you. fulwish literally says she doesn’t care what other people want. ‘Control’ is one of the factors that combats aha’s “unpredictability”. This is how fulwish has always rejected elation in her own way. Sampo is similar. he also rejects aha’s uncertainty which sparkle frowns upon as a model fool and calls boring. \[Photo 10\]

He also wants everyone to experience happiness but unlike fulwish, sampo has limits. he will not force people because he values freedom as much as joy and human dignity \[Photo 11\]

i’m not going into how sampo’s past may have shaped him like I did with fulwish since they are all speculations. what we do know about sampo is that he DESPISES the selfishness of extreme fools. this was his reason for giving up his mask (label) \[Photo 12 and 13\]

fulwish can be put into this "extreme" umbrella as well since she did hurt people with her twisted intentions. the reason why sampo is different from her despite wanting to achieve the same thing is initially bc of his strong moral compass. Sampo also values certainty and says it brings people security. again, this is the OPPOSITE of aha’s established concept of elation. \[Photo 14\]

now sampo also desires a bit of “control” over how he achieves his elation- he gave fixed stats to big figures in the universe and turned them into a game that was simply about ‘win or lose’ \[Photo 15\] but as you can see, he gives people their basic right of freedom. People compete with each other in cosmicon collective and he doesnt interfere in that.He also didnt interfere much with belobog because he is aware that this is belobogs story, not his. he doesnt want the spotlight \[Photo 16\]

the difference between him and fulwish is apparent in the way they “control” others. they both reject unpredictability, want everyone to be happy, yet fulwish went above moral limits and ended up destroying her and those around her. that’s why she failed and while sampo won’t hurt others, it’s implied that he may end up facing his demise for the very opposite reason fulwish had, which is, selflessness. “burning away into ashes” for others. \[Photo 17, 18, 19 and 20\]

Are you also trying to do Sampo justice at least in Currency wars or you are a sane person?

It took me approximately 20 hours but finally I can have peace of mind making him the strongest in Elation bond.
