Happy Friday! Sadcat is making sure i don't fall in the toilet!
Thank you so much to /u/malhoward and their furry friend Hamlet!!
Fun fact about me: me and my friends made a short film retelling Hamlet in high school and it was a hit. Not as popular as our take on Hansel & Gretel, but was well-received. I wish we did Othello too. 😪
he always tucks his paws under him when he sees me coming with the clippers
I had my first lesson the other day and had such a blast! Saddy has been supporting me the whole way as my biggest fan :)
Make sure your mom or whoever your parental figure is knows you love them <3<3<3

This is a mod approved and very long post.
Here is an update on my cat, that now is suspected more of dry FIP than lymphoma (cancer).
To those who don’t know me. My first ever cat, Tigruța (Tigress) who is 14 years old, stopped eating completely. Her degradation in terms of health was gradual. I am from a small city, so once she stopped eating, I travelled with her by train, 4 hours to the capital of my country, Romania, because in my small city the vets aren’t as good. And yes, I would do anything for her. Currently I am going every single day to the vet with her for hydration and medications such as Cerenia, anti inflammatory and etc.
I did everything that I could for her, the vets still don’t know which diagnosis it is. I don’t blame them, and let me explain why. We did an ultrasound, it shows massive inflammation in her left lymph node, and her liver is enlarged. We also did some biopsies on her and the results came back. The biopsy says the same thing, that it looks like FIP and lymphoma, but given her age, it might not be FIP. However, she underwent surgery in November for a cancerous mammary tumour, recovery was difficult, and in February I took her to an oncologist to make sure the cancer didn’t come back (it didn’t), both of these happening in the capital so once again lots of travelling and stress.
Because the biopsy is uncertain, as requested, I paid more for them to send it to the UK for an Immunohistochemistry test. It will take 3 weeks for the results to arrive, and we can’t wait any longer, so this is what we decided to do:
We decided to start the FIP treatment, although it is extremely expensive, but at least we could rule out the dry FIP possibility. Today is the 4th day of treatment, and I could see slight improvement. To me it seems like she is more alert, she fights me when I syringe feed her, but she is still not eating on her own and has difficulty drinking water. We got a long way to go. I was able to buy 8 vials of 10.2 ml (they shipped to me 16 vials of 5.2 ml which is also fine), but I cannot afford any more. And the treatment would be for 84 days.
I must add: On the 25th of April she was so anemic she needed a blood transfusion. Thankfully she got it the next day with the help of a lady who overheard the conversation between me and my vet. But guess what, she is pretty close to another transfusion. Hopefully that won’t happen. Her potassium levels also dropped (3.2), but after the FIP treatment they increased a little (3.6). Her skin was also purple and now it got better.
I am asking for your help financially to be able to buy her vials, if she has FIP, but also for her every day treatment which costs 160 lei (36 USD) per day + some recovery food that I buy from the vet + blood work from time to time. It adds up and I just can’t afford it. The biopsies were 2980 lei (672 USD), to send it to the UK it was 1300 lei (293 USD), the vials I bought were 536 USD, and the every day treatment adds up, I have been coming here every day for weeks. I seriously cannot afford it anymore. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also, most of the proof I have included below is in Romanian so please translate it.
I do not think this is Boo based on the face being less scrunched, and Boo had a bit of a belly that I didn't get a good look at this time. Saddy *immediately* wanted to follow this kitty and demanded i let him back inside after the kitty ran off.
