Saturday Morning Ride Meetup at Guy West Bridge

Hello all, I made a thread about this a while back and I have settled on a solid plan.

I'll be heading out on a ride Saturday mornings and would be delighted if some like-minded people joined.

The details:

Saturday, April 2nd (and possibly recurring)

Meet 8:45am, roll at 9:00am

North side of Guy West Bridge, look for me under the bridge around the the picnic tables or in the vicinity.

I (34m) will be wearing a white shirt and white helmet on a gray steel bike.

The end destination is O cafe in Fair Oaks, approx 14 miles away. We can grab a bite, I'll be headed back down to Guy West afterwards but people can peel off as needed.

13-14mph pace. I don't want to say no drop - if you can't do the ride you may be left, but happy to have regroups. We can at least stop at the restrooms at William B Pond for 5-10 mins.

Analog bikes only. The vibe will be party pace/social. This isn't a hardcore roadie ride, but basic bike skills, feeling comfortable riding in a group, and the ability to self-rescue will be needed. The number one rule: Don't be a dick.

More details you might not care about:

I moved to Sac from out of state nine months ago and would like to meet bike people. I've considered other group rides but a lot of them take place during the week and I work 5x10 hour days so I struggle to find the availability/energy. I figured I'd start this up as an alternative. All welcome and any kind of bike (no ebikes) that you can meet the pace with is ok - I'll be on a 27 pound steel all road/tourish bike on 35c tires, for example.

Anyways, ping me with any questions, but the weather looks mild for a chill Sat morning ride. If it rains I'll cancel and will also edit this post stating so, otherwise I'll be there then.
