Just finished watching the OOTB 5 VOD, and how is Slug so good!?! Man is he an inspiration to a shitty little IC's player like me.

The whole tournament was insane! Zain v Wizzy in winners side had me literally biting at my nails watching it, Hbox beating Zain was awesome too. Moky is just a fucking monster!

What an event. God I wish I was better at this game, because I really love watching it.

I've put over 200 hours into Rivals of Aether 2, and I'm considering trying to get into Melee. I've played the game casually in my youth, but now I want to see if I can get into Melee in a bit of a more serious capacity. I will say, I'm having a bit of a hard time adjusting to this game's movement, and I'm uncertain about a character to play. Do y'all have any advice for me? If it helps y'all any, I main Olympia in Rivals 2.

Imagine if Nintendo had let them do the same for Melee.

How do you handle playing against lame players? I feel like as I’ve gotten better I come across players that just infuriate me. I get so mad at the way they play the game. Obviously I have to get better but I just struggle to not get so tilted and mad at the other player. This only applies to online. In person is something else as I can humanize with the person next to me. But online is much harder.

I let so much shit get to me. I think partially cause I don't think of myself as a competitive player. I mainly just play for fun, though I would like to get better, and part of that is tech, but I feel like my bigger issue is getting irritated with a lot of play styles.

Whenever I think someone is intentionally trying to tilt me, I just like lose interest in playing and start fumbling. I played a Flaco several ranks below me who (literally) all they did was spot dodge and then wait for an opportunity to down smash. That was their entire game plan. Took like seven minutes, and I won, but the mental energy it took out of me was absolutely stupid. I just start thinking like why is this fun for someone. I only have so much time I get to play, I don't want to eat up a chunk of that trying to find someone to play who isn't totally annoying. To do that repeatedly and then every time it works taunt, like fuck man I just want to have fun lol. Does anyone else struggle with this/have any tips?
