What to do in vacation

I'm a FY CE student, nearing my ESEs. For the most part, I have only done DSA and CP in my first year, that too not that seriously (~800 rating on CF). I got a decent SGPA in the first semester (9) and hoping a similar SGPA will pan out this semester.

I have seen a lot of people talk about web development, AI/ML etc. but I have no idea about these fields and nor do I have any idea on how to start them. But one thing is for sure: I have nothing significant to put on my resume.

Our college sure sends out a lot of emails and even whatsapp messages about internship opportunities but I don't know if I should pursue it. (Most of them straight up seem like a scam!).

So long story short, I need guidance from the seniors. What the hell should I do in vacation.

Start web development? Complete DSA? Do that CS50 course? I will surely continue CP, try to get 1200 rank in CF but I want to do more. Please help me (and a lot of other guidance - less FY students).

Also a lot of colleges provide internships from the second year itself, especially for girls. But I doubt our college has a similar situation.

Review for SPIT Mumbai - from placement, campus life, club activities and overall reviews

HIII!

Gen, Female

I am currently looking for private colleges in Mumbai (Pune is ok too) and wanted to know current reviews for SPIT Mumbai (Sardar Patel Institute of Technology).
Please share experience on:

  • Placements (especially for AI/ML and CS) – average packages, top companies, support for non-CS branches in tech roles, etc.
  • Internship opportunities – are they easy to get? Supportive faculty? off campus internship support(since I want to do intern in UI/UX but if not I am open to normal tech too )
  • Campus life – fests, clubs(only normal clubs or designing clubs too), student culture, crowd, hostel (if any)?
  • Academic pressure – how’s the workload, attendance rules, strictness?
  • Is it worth it compared to other options like VIT, KJSCE, SIT, TCET, DY Patil(Akurdi)
  • Any cons I should be aware of (management issues, admin delays, outdated curriculum, etc.)?

Would really appreciate any insights🙏
Feel free to be brutally honest
Thanks in advance!
(Forgive any mistake in the post cause this is my first time posting anything on reddit)

Help Regarding 12th marks criteria for placements

I gave my MHTCET exam and am expecting to join this college. I wanted to ask if there is any specific boards related criteria for placements here??

I have got 97.8% in my SSC boards and 68.5% in my HSC boards overall (60.33% PCM aggregate). Will my 12th marks create any problem for me during internships and placements or in any negative way during my BTech.
