Off Campus Housing -- How Soon Do We Need to Sign a Lease for 2026-2027?

I'm an incoming transfer student from Northern California and was planning to check out apartments when I'm there for the in person orientation. Planning to get a two bedroom with my buddy. How soon in advance do you usually need to sign the lease for the next school year? (Starting Aug. 1 I assume.) I've looked at a lot of the large complexes and see availability now for leases starting in May. And I assume the more independent properties would only come available a month or two in advance? Thanks for any advice.

Also, I've perused the group for apartments recommendations, but mostly found feedback on the large complexes that lease by room... Cerca, Prisna, Rive, Iconic, etc. If you have any recommendations outside of those, would love some! Near campus would be nice, but I'm also okay with something a bit further out near a trolley station between 2-3k/month for a 2/1 or 2/2.

Oh, and is it pretty easy to pick up used furniture from students moving out? Any good sites?

New incoming Grad student

Hello,

I recently enrolled into sdsu’s MBA program and I was wondering if the 43,000 cost of attendance was accurate, I was able to get a good amount of aid to shave off 29,000 for the first year. Would it be hard to find a room for 800 - 900?

Anyone got extra guests tickets for graduation

I have a lot of family members coming for my graduation and I need all the extra tickets I can get. I’m in arts and letters. If anyone has extra guest tickets I’ll pay to be able to use them and I’ll coordinate with you for the details.

Working as an international student

Hey guys!

This spring semester was my first semester at SDSU. I’m part of the study abroad program, and I’ve decided to stay here until the end of the year.

Does anyone have any tips on how to find a paid internship, campus job, research assistant position, or something similar?

CHEM 232 Professors

Hello,

I was just wondering who would be the better professor for OChem, Bergdahl over the summer or with Cole in the Fall. If anyone has taken these professors before, some help would be appreciated.

Thank you! :)
