Can’t decide whether to hold rope with my left or right hand…

Bull riding for the first time next week. I cannot—for the life of me—decide whether I should use my left or right hand to hold the rope

Fully aware people say to use your dominant arm (that would be my right) as the counterbalancing arm, but my left is noticeably weaker than my right

However, I do feel my balance recall is noticeably robust with my right

Should I still use my left arm to hold the rope considering it’s a lot weaker than my right?

Working on my lift

So I’ve been doing everything thing I can to try and fix my lift because everytime I ride, I immediately let off. So my solution has been to tie a string to a mouthpiece and tie that to my riggin. This helps me stay sitting up, keep my chin tucked, and keep on my lift.

Rodeos

Hey—French guy here, traveling through Texas and New Mexico this April.

I’m looking to catch a few rodeos while I’m around. Not really interested in the super touristy stuff—more keen on something authentic, whether it’s a smaller local event or a solid regional one.

If you’ve got recommendations for April (dates, towns, anything worth the detour), I’m all ears.

Cheers
