Launching a new daytime social event in Rochester for active mature adults — movement, coffee, music & community

Hi everyone — my name is Elyse and my partner and I own Elevate Dance Center in Rochester.

Over the last few months I’ve been thinking a lot about how difficult it can be for people to find social connection and community as they get older, especially during daytime hours. There are plenty of fitness classes out there, but not as many welcoming social spaces centered around simply getting out of the house, meeting people, moving a little, listening to music, and enjoying time together.

So beginning the first Monday of June, we’re launching something new called Coffee, Connection & Community.

It’s a weekly daytime social experience designed for active mature adults and will include:

  • light beginner-friendly movement & dance
  • coffee and refreshments
  • music and conversation
  • a welcoming low-pressure atmosphere
  • no experience or partner required

Mondays in June, $10 drop in fee
10AM–12PM
📍 17 Pitkin Street Rochester NY

Honestly, we’re just trying to create something positive and community-centered and see if this is something people are looking for here in Rochester.

If you have parents, grandparents, neighbors, friends, or loved ones who may enjoy something like this, I’d genuinely appreciate you sharing it with them.

Singer looking for guitarist or pianist??

Hey!! I am a 21 yr old female singer who loves all genres but leans more towards classic rock, indie, R&B, jazz, and what not. I’ve been a singer my whole life but have been out of the scene for a while, so I’m looking for a person or people to jam with and maybe do side gigs with over the summer! Lmk if anyone is interested or if you have somebody in mind.
