What’s this sound from brakes

Brand new first ebike, while braking it does a very quiet ticking sound and gets louder depending on pressure. I’ve done a decent amount of research and people say to break in the brakes but I need to know what this sound is before it becomes a problem

Replacement Screw Specs?

In all my zipping around on my Revv/The Wasp, a few screws have vibrated loose and been lost to the roads of fate. Do any of you brilliant battery-powered pals know the specs (size, length, etc) of the following screws:

  • The 2 that hold the tailight bracket to the frame.
  • The 2 that screw the headlight into the mounting bracket.
  • The 2 small ones that tighten the headlight fork mount.

Major progress on the custom back fender!

The fender is coming along really well! I ended creating a mounting bracket that’s separate from the actual fender so I don’t have to keep taking the wheel off every time I want to attach a new version! I need to adjust the bottom to sit flush with the frame. One of the cons of not having a 3d scan of the bike is that it means I have to do a lot of back and forth like this until I get honed in! Really excited to take it on some test rides!

Love this storage compartment!

I ran to the grocery store yesterday to grab some groceries and was very surprised and impressed by how much my basket design could hold! I’ve two large energy drinks, two sodas, toothpaste, and a thing on English muffins!

So, we have the new Ride1up Revv1 EVO, its cool and all but, what's the point in changing the design to just incorporate a semi solid state battery?

It looks like it's a road-going version of the Revv1 DRT, so it looks like it's an inbetwen of the DRT and FS, but being priced at $200 more than the DRT and $500 more than the FS, it has no real justification of that price

With it being an inbetween, it also lacks road going features (Such as signals), and sacrifices functionality for looks (Long seat, no center cage, "weird" battery positioning)

It looks like Ride1up is trying more to appeal to other, cheaper emopeds. but when you get to this price range people are going to be looking at the DRT more than this EVO. It just doesn't make sense

I wish we had a higher powered successor or a new design that focuses more on battery (Integrated battery, like the Onyx RCR), rather than DRT "downgrade" just for a different battery

Ex-Super73, now Revv1 convert

I’ve owned this for little over a week and just finished adding all my little mods to it. I’m super happy with it!
-Batwing handlebar
-Ebay cafe racer extended seat
-surfboard mount
-bicycle bell
-tiny amazon windshield
-cup holder
-phone mount

I threw my old white Super73 in for comparison. I love the Revv1. Hits 35mph easily. Much zippier and much more comfortable. My only gripe is how heavy it is. It makes moving it and locking it a bit of a headache.

I got my Revv1 last Monday and finally got around to putting it together over the weekend. Really loving the way this thing rides! I had been a little concerned about the mass but it handles amazingly well.

Battery Management for Touring

I’m attempting the XWA Grand Depart ride (740-mi across WA) later this month on my Revv1 FS, not necessarily the optimal bike for this tour. I’m looking to cover 80-100 mi’s a day for some of the longer segments. I will have two 20Ah batteries and two chargers (4A).

On my battery test rides, I’ve been getting 40-45mi on a fully charged battery (completely drained). To get to 80-100mi daily range, I’m planning to leverage the following power management plan:

  1. Fully charge both batteries overnight.

  2. Morning ride (100-25%) - Ride both batteries down to 25%, looking to get 50-60 miles in.

  3. Lunch charge (25%-75%) - Recharge batteries for 1-2hrs, back up to 75%.

  4. Afternoon ride - (75%-25%) - Looking to ride another 35-45 miles.

Obviously, true mileage will vary with elevation change, wind, surface, and other factors. Just wondering if anyone else has successfully managed long touring legs and what sort of charge time-range results you saw.

I have experience doing non-powered century distance rides and multi-day tours, but this will be my first using an ebike on one.

Bike Rack for Revv1

I was a little worried about finding a bike rack that would support the Revv1’s weight. Picked up one from Young Electric for 2 bikes (200-lbs), with a ramp. Pretty happy with it. Bike is very secure.

Ramp could be attached a bit better. Popped off on me mid-unload the first time.

Finally reprinted this keychain I designed using the multicolor ability on the P1S + AMS! Think it turned it pretty well! Would love suggestions on different color combos that could look good together!

Does it attach and detach easily and quickly? Which one do you use? AI is telling me the built of the RV might not work well with those.
