CEMU Hack and RetroDECK
A recent security incident affected Cemu’s Linux AppImage and Ubuntu packages distributed between 6 May and 12 May.
Official PSA: https://rentry.org/cemu-security-psa
RetroDECK users are not affected. RetroDECK does not use Cemu’s AppImage or Ubuntu builds, and we do not perform automatic updates. Every emulator version we ship is tested, verified, and pinned to a known‑safe, stable build. This slower, curated update process is exactly what prevents incidents like this from impacting RetroDECK users.
To reiterate, RetroDECK users do not need to take any action. Your installation is safe.
This also includes RetroDECK Epicure users. Epicure pulls Cemu from the official Flatpak, which was not part of the compromised distribution.
All emulators gone after an update, how to reinstall everything the proper way?
I did an update a while back and didn't realize until today that it removed all my emulators. I'm assuming that's the issue since there are no ROMs visible in Retrodeck despite them still being available via file manager.
If I remember correctly, I chose the SD card method when I installed it. So whats the best way for me to reinstall everything? Just wipe the SD card or is there a better method to get a fresh start (I have no saves to worry about and the ROMs I have backed up elsewhere)?
Need Help getting Ryubing to work or importing Eden into Retrodeck
I downloaded a rom…that I legally own…I put the rom in the correct folder and it shows up in the rom selection in retrodeck…but when I click on it it says “Error couldn’t find emulation Ryubing, has it been properly installed?” I downloaded “Eden.AppImage” and In desktop mode it works perfectly….I really want everything to work in Retrodeck though….so how do I either get Ryubing to work in retrodeck or how do I put Eden in retrodeck
Retrosync: Couldn't find the Steam Cloud equivalent for emulation, so I made my own
Hey everyone,
I’ve been looking for a way to sync my emulation progress (ROMs, BIOS, Saves, etc) across my devices (Steam Deck, Bazzite HTPC, and a Windows gaming PC). I looked around and couldn't really find anything, except for EmuDeck Cloud Sync, but that's a paid feature.
I had a Thanos moment and decided to do it my self. So I put together a project called RetroSync.
Note: "I" here refers to an AI doing the hard work and "I" spamming the keyboard bossing it around.
Basically, it’s a script that automates the entire process of setting up Syncthing via its REST API. It connects your client devices to a central NAS hub, syncing your ROMs, BIOS, saves, states, and metadata without having to manually mess with the Syncthing GUI and pairing everything yourself.
The Windows to Windows syncing (RetroBat) is stable, and I'm currently rolling out and testing the Linux/Steam Deck (RetroDECK) side of things. It is very much in an alpha/testing state right now.
I’m sharing it here because I’d really appreciate any help, feedback, or testing from the community to fast-track the progress. If you have a NAS and use these frontends, I'd love to know how it runs for you, what breaks, and what I can improve.

(Standard disclaimer: Because this is an alpha build, please back up your saves before testing. Also, as a general rule, do not run any scripts you find on the internet unless you read through them and verify they are safe to run!)
Let me know what you think or if you run into any weird edge cases!
Dualsense Edge gyro for Wii emulation with RetroDeck on regular Linux (Ubuntu)?
I was browsing the interwebs and the RetroDeck wiki but I wasn't really able to find an answer for this. When using standalone Dolphin I am able to configure the controller to act as a wiimote. But I am totally lost on how that should work within RetroDecks RetroArch environment. Is there a wiki page I missed or is someone able to help me out otherwise on how to set this up?
Cheers!
