After spending some quality time with all three versions of the GATs, I wanted to drop a detailed comparison for anyone on the fence about which batch to pick up.
Overview
First off, the bar is high here. Both the Goat and MVT batches are incredibly impressive when put side-by-side with Retail. If you’re walking down the street, no one is calling these out. However, when you get into the nitty-gritty details, one definitely stands out.
Leather & Color
Retail: Has that classic, buttery calfskin feel and a specific "off-white" tone that is hard to nail.
Goat: The leather quality is solid and the color is very close, though it feels a bit more structured/stiff out of the box.
MVT: The leather texture is spot-on. The color accuracy across the panels is excellent, making it almost indistinguishable from the retail pair in natural lighting.
Suede & Stitching
This is where the differences start to show:
Suede: MVT takes the win here. The suede is noticeably "hairier" and more premium-feeling compared to Goat. It has that nice movement you expect from high-end materials.
Stitching: While Goat is clean, MVT has tighter, more consistent stitching, especially around the heel and the suede overlays. It feels like there was just a bit more attention to detail in the construction.
Comfort (The Big Winner)
The most surprising part of this comparison is the comfort level. While the retail pair is known for being a comfortable daily driver, MVT is actually more comfortable than retail. The insole and interior lining feel slightly more forgiving, making them easier to wear for long periods right out of the box without that standard "break-in" period.
Final Verdict
Goat: A very strong contender and definitely a "good" batch.
MVT: The superior choice. With the nicer suede, better stitching, and superior comfort (even beating out the retail pair), it’s easily the winner of this three-way comparison.
If you’re looking for the closest 1:1 experience with an upgrade in daily wearability, MVT is the way to go.

Ralph Lauren Linen Shirt: Real vs. Fake Comparison

One is an authentic piece my friend bought, and the other is a replica version I purchased. See if you can guess which one looks more expensive, has better materials, and—most importantly—which one is the genuine article!

My stats: 175cm / 70kg

1.RL Collared Ribbed POLO Camel

Size M, slim fit

Love the cable-knit design. Not the coolest fabric for summer, but definitely workable. It came with a small stain, but it washed right out. The pony embroidery matches the retail perfectly.

2.RL Green Shirt

Size M, tts

Bored of basic monochrome stripes? This green-and-white one is a great pick for spring. The paint-splatter print gives it a fun, and it’s made from 100% cotton.

3.BC tee

size M, slim fit

Made from a soft, breathable knit with vertical ribbing throughout.

4.LP tee

size XL, one size up

Love how cool this linen tee feels in summer. Only downside: the white is slightly sheer, so I pair it with a tank top.

5.LP Jeans

Both are size 32. I thought these were going to be relaxed-fit pants before I bought them. Both are skinny fit, good quality and very stretchy. Make sure to ask customer service about sizing first. The white one is slightly sheer, too.
