Meta glasses separated in this spot, and now it won’t connect & the capture button and volume slide won’t work.

I understand that this trim may connect the power cable, and when I press it in, everything functions perfectly. Will the warranty cover this? Or is there a DIY repair, or an adhesive non-invasive enough to hold this together? This occurred when folding them to put them back into the case, not under any super hulk pressure. Purchased them three weeks ago.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

RayBan Meta Wayfarers Gen 2 No Longer Turning On

I've had my Ray-Ban Metas for about 3 months, and they suddenly stopped turning on, with no LEDs. I've tried turning it on and off, hard resetting both glasses and the charging case, putting the glasses in the case for a day while the case is continuously plugged in. The glasses still don't have any LEDs on, and I know very well I took care of it. The charging case shows green (fully charged) when glasses aren't in it, but it blinks yellow for 5 seconds before turning off when glasses are in the case. I am currently in no position to do a return. Are there any solutions to this?

On October 10, 2024, I bought the Meta Wayfarer Limited Edition for €459 (photo 1) on the Ray-Ban Spain website.

Last week, while taking the glasses off my head, I heard a cracking sound. When I inspected them, I found that the right temple arm had cracked near the hinge. On May 5, I submitted a warranty claim (in Europe, the warranty is valid for 2 years), and one day later they replied that my case was covered under warranty. However, since they no longer produce the Limited Edition, they said they would offer me an alternative option at the same price, and that I would have 2 days to accept the offer from the moment I received the email (photo 2).

When I followed the link in the email, I only saw a message saying that I needed to wait until they offered me replacement options (photo 3). This message stayed there throughout the whole of May 6 and also for most of the day on May 7. Only now have I finally received an offer, and it is… a completely different model of glasses that does not suit my face (photos 4 and 5).

I tried to find any way to contact Ray-Ban support in Spain or Europe, but I could not find either a phone number or an email address. The physical Ray-Ban store was also unable to help me.

As a result, I am now in a situation where I have 3 hours left until the end of the day to decide whether I want to replace my old glasses with a model that does not suit me, and I have absolutely no way to contact support.

Does anyone know what I can do in this situation?

I bought a pair of meta gen2 from Argos, unfortunately the standard size is too small for me and it's giving Headaches. Argos won't accept any returns unless the product is faulty as per their policy. I have also contacted ray ban who said: " As we are the Customer Care for the official Ray-Ban website, we only accept returns on items purchased from Ray-Ban.com. Items purchased from Authorized Ray-Ban retailers or a third‑party retailer (Argos) must be returned to the place of purchase."

So basically I'm stuck with a very expensive pair of glasses now. Thank you Ray ban and thank you Argos.

I found a pair of Ray-Ban Meta sunglasses on the street, looks like someone dropped them. I bought a charging case to see if they still worked, and they actually do.

The problem is, they’re still linked to another account. I’ve tried factory resetting them multiple times, but the app keeps saying they’re registered to a different user.

Has anyone here dealt with this before? Is there any way to fully reset them and remove the previous account, or am I stuck unless I find the original owner?

About two weeks ago I picked up a Carina C1 as my go-to charging solution for when I’m out. A couple days ago I went fishing with a friend, and he noticed I didn’t bring the original case. He asked how I was dealing with battery life, so I showed him the C1 battery setup.Honestly, its surprisingly discreet. If I hadn’t mentioned it, he probably wouldn’t have even noticed there was an extra battery attached to the glasses. He immediately got interested in it lol. But after I sent him the link, we realized the Wayfarer Large version was already out of stock. Does anyone know when the Large model might be available again?

I've been thinking a lot about where this category is going, and I'd love to hear from people who actually wear or follow smart glasses.

1. What's missing from current smart glasses?

Every product launch leads with the same things AI assistants, cameras, translation, notifications. But are these really what's missing? Or is something else broken that nobody's fixing?

2. Function vs form: what wins for you?

Be honest. Would you sacrifice features for glasses that actually look good and come in colors that aren't black or tortoise? Or are features non-negotiable, even if it means wearing something that screams "tech gadget"?

I keep noticing the entire industry Meta, Even, Rokid, Brilliant, Halliday, Snap, Mira defaults to the same minimalist black aesthetic. Glasses are eyewear. Eyewear is identity. Why does smart eyewear forget that?

3. Are smart glasses the next personal computer?

Phones didn't replace PCs but everyone has one now. Is that what's coming for glasses? A new personal device that doesn't replace the phone, but ends up on every face?

Or are smart glasses going to stay a niche accessory like smartwatches useful but never essential?

Genuinely curious. Not trying to sell anything. Just trying to understand what people actually think
