Incident at the Lake today
Post got taken down very quickly. Too bad… was a great representation of what we have to deal with daily with these teens on e-bikes / fishing at the lake.
Would love if this city actually stepped in to deal with this issue. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been run off the walking path. Constantly having to pick up fishing lines and hooks on my daily walks. And not to mention the increasing number of injured wildlife because of it…

Easy carving in RSM [56YO]
Today was pretty glorious. I skated Antonio Pkwy from Santa Margarita Pkwy to Oso Pkwy - 4.6 miles of gentle downhill and a wide sidewalk and easy crosswalks. The music shuffle was over the top awesome, Boston, Fleetwood Mac, Van Halen… the casual carving/slalom. Almost 5miles of bliss!
The big problem is no bus back and Lyft went from $15 last week to $25 this week. I feel like those guys that pay big $$$s for man-made waves
My ankles are throbbing but I can’t get rid of the smile on my face.

A kid called me an old fart today [56YO]
Heading down Antonio Pkway on my long board, gentle carving, good music, perfect weather… happy!
Intersection, waiting, 4kids (sub-13yo on 2 e-bikes pull up and start snickering, light turns, they yelled “old-fart” while accelerating away.
Broke me a little.

Best carving session yet [56YO]
Oh brethren skate-o-holics. Today was amazing, a gentle breeze to make me feel like I was goin fast, clear sidewalks, easy intersection transitions, and a playlist of 80’s medium tempo awesomeness that went perfect with the carve.
Sounds crazy but that’s a 30minute chill ride and there’s only 2 sections you have to push. Glorious!
I’m still using Lyft/Uber to get home but $20 is worth it.
