After over a year of non movement my Huina 1593 , its finally back!

Finally after more than a year for not making this thing move! My huina 1593 is alive again!

I lost interest around 2025 in rc construction now I'm back fully. this darn remote took way too long after so many sellers failing to send me one!

Back to digging baby! Now I need just a dump truck. I am aiming for a Huina 1573 on my birthday in October or December as b'day present for my self. Better start saving! I've been wanting a 1573 since like 2022.. Lmao.

But regardless, I'm.back to digging my 1593 will be alone for a bit longer for now!

What do I need to build a 1/14 scale Tamiya RC Semi for the first time?

I'm thinking of putting together my first Tamiya 1/14 scale rc semi truck. I have no hobby background whatsoever. I am seeking help/advice in two areas:

What do I need to build the kit? Parts, electronics, tools, anything I'd need to buy separately.

What do I need to be capable of to build the kit? Again, I have no rc knowledge or background, and I'm gonna go with a pre-painted model to avoid painting for my first model.

I'm considering the Mercedes Actros Gigaspace, the black edition.
EDIT: Kit is 1851 Gigaspace Black Edition

Thank you.

How do I swap the controls so I can use the left side for tracks only and the right side for bucket and boom controls

So I was procrastinating and suddenly thought Why not make a tracked version 1573? So I found a 40cm tank that'll be appropriate for it, gave the images to Gemini to make it, and, indeed, it looks pretty fucking cool, tbf.

The toy is around under $50 in my area, it has no brand name, but heres the link: https://shopee.ph/40cm-Remote-Control-Tank-Large-Charging-Battle-Tank-Toy-Remote-Control-Car-Car-Tank-Model-Boy-Toy-i.1684677648.50255396639?xptdk=48cf71c2-170f-4143-85a6-1848e1a4fc93

The Huina 1573 is notorious for getting stuck in sand due to its poor traction and useless hard-compound tires, which Huina refuses to stop using. It'll make the truck pretty much go anywhere, but it won't be as fast; it'll be so much more capable on many types of terrain.

People generally just swap the chassis with a 6x6 WPL, sure, but a tank track looks so much cooler, and way more unique. If I ever have the money, I'll def do this project for sure, I'll have a huina 1573 nobody else has lol

What are your thoughts? Would you buy a tank tracks Huina 1573? How much would you pay for this Huina as a whole if Huina ever decides to make this?

I’m trying to get into RC construction and I’m stuck on whether it is worth starting with a cheap RC excavator or going straight to a mid range model.

I have seen a lot of low cost options on sites like Alibaba and Made in China and they look tempting for testing the hobby without spending too much. But I have also read that many of them have weak gears, poor hydraulics, and end up needing upgrades or replacement pretty quickly.

On the other hand mid range models are a big jump in price but maybe more reliable and actually fun out of the box.

For those with experience what would you recommend for a first machine.

Was hoping to get this running today but I’m short an esc and since I changed the blades it’s slightly to large for the housing and rubs against the inside so it needs a few tweaks before it get out in the weeds

is it actually a good opportunity to build a career in construction in the UK right now?
I’ve recently completed my bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, and I also have around 4 years of experience working with AutoCAD and doing site visits back in Nepal.
However, I’m finding it surprisingly difficult to even get entry-level roles here in the UK — whether that’s trainee construction roles, junior site roles, or even AutoCAD technician positions.
Back in Nepal, I expected it to be competitive, but I thought the UK would have more opportunities, especially with a skills shortage often being mentioned in construction.
Is this normal for fresh graduates or international candidates?
Am I missing something (like specific certifications, UK experience, CSCS card, etc.)?
