The SLC Major was the first R6 esports event I followed, and I noticed that none of the games I watched had any electricity ops.
I know electricity is counterable if you have a coordinated team, but wouldn't it make sense just to force the attacking team to dedicate even just one more piece of equipment to opening the wall?

I have really enjoyed watching the SI 2026 on twitch and all these different teams playing, now I have been wondering when the next matches are? I have seen on the Ubisoft site that the Schedule for some matches are planned on Sunday 07.06.2026, and it says it’s the Europe Mena League, Europe Mena League Stage 1. Is it same as the SI2026 with the same teams playing and streaming live and drops or is it kinda different?
Would be nice if someone could help me out!

I just saw supr describe SR as a top 2 team in the world in his AMA and I know from his streams in the past he's done similar with other teams based off one majors positioning and it's something that I always disagreed with. I understand the sentiment but it lacks nuance.
In a major, especially one without a loser bracket, the games are very matchup dependent. You could be the second best team at the tournament and be capable of beating 6 of the 7 other playoff teams but if you meet the eventual winners in the quarter finals then you're just out despite being the theoretical second best team. Or you could meet the team that matches up against you perfectly/the team that matches up against you perfectly ends up in the opposite side of the bracket. If there's a loser bracket then I could definitely support the argument more.
Perfect example is.. if the playoff seedings worked logically, and how they have at every previous event (I believe) then we would have had from the swiss phase 3rd vs 6th (G2 vs Wildcard) and we would have had 4th vs 5th (DZ vs SR). That's right, SR probably would have been a 5-8th place finisher, based on their history vs the DZ core (or because it's a best of 3 then maybe Ambi is able to have two life maps and SR win), and we'd have had a completely different second place finisher. Or if DZ and SR had ended up in the same side of the bracket and met in the semi finals, again we'd have had a different second place finisher. Or if Faze were in the other side of the bracket maybe they beat SR in the semi finals etc etc
I also believe the same for DZ. Winning one major doesn't make you the best team in the world, doing really well at more than one major and you can make that argument. I mean, look at Falcons/BDS winning flawlessly through upper brackets but then losing the grand final to a team from the loser bracket that they hadn't played yet.
tl;dr Finishing top 2 at one major, that doesn't have a loser bracket, doesn't make you a top 2 team in the world.
idk if the spoiler is needed here but, obviously SR lost in the GRAND FINALS of SLC, which is insane for a number of reasons, the most prominent of which being we didn’t even think they would qualify.
what sticks out to me is the hate Canadian is getting under HIS OWN TWEET. bro just lost in the grand finals after leading his team to qualify for a major nobody thought they would qualify for, then make main stage for the first time since picking up Spoit, then shock the world by beating the super team of G2 and the insanely talented roster of Twisted Minds.
we have people telling him to “get the fuck out of PL” under his tweet, and clamoring for him to retire already because “he just holds his team back”.
there is honestly nothing worse than using positivity/reputation as a weapon in this sense - saying “you are one of the best of all time bro but it’s time to hang up the cleats” is so much more negative than telling someone to just retire honestly. it is passive aggressive, patronizing behavior that has no place in this community, especially under someone like Canadian’s post.
the majority (if not entirety) of these people genuinely don’t even understand the game enough to realize his impact. it is almost like all they know is what yardy says in his videos or what jynxi says about a low number of kills.
