I gave him bloodworms and now he looks at snails with disgust… ungrateful creature. He’ll eat them eventually but He Mad!!!

Our beloved Finncent Van Gogh died today. He lived in a planted 40 gallon with two spotted Raphael catfish.
I tested the parameters. Ammonia is 0. Nitrites are 0. Nitrates are around 5. We fed him mealworms and krill for the most part.
This is Pogo! I am trying to determine the sex of the puffer, can anyone help here or give pointers for how to tell?
How hard is it to move with a puffer? I will be moving into an apartment in a couple of months and would like to get one then but am unsure if moving would stress it out or anything like that
Hi yall!! I’m new to the subreddit but I’m glad I found this place when I did. I have three Pea Puffers named Shock, Lock, and Barrel (Barrel being the largest and male). Over the past few days he’s been super finicky about eating, then this yesterday/this morning, I watched him start resting. Literally using floater plant roots to support his body vertical (he did the same on a stick in the tank too). After a quick isolation and coax eating session, I returned him back into his original tank where he began to let himself get suctioned up against the filter. Only when I’d nudge him with my forceps did he officially move to swim off briefly, only to then rest somewhere again without moving a single fin.
TLDR: I have three Pea Puffers. My big boy, Barrel, is not eating and keeps laying in the roots of floating plants and nearby foliage with no fin movement. As of today, it looks like he’s purposely getting himself suctioned to the filter
Is he about to complete his life cycle? Should I follow through with a water change to see if that’s the issue? Is there anything I can do to aid/assist further?
I’d provide pictures but unfortunately my back camera is broken…any help/advice appreciate!! TYIA💚
I just got this baby on Tuesday and I’m worried he’s getting stress ich! He’s my first SCP so not sure if the spots in his fins are normal.
