Hi everyone! I've said goodbye to my lvl 35 warlock in twow and I'm thorn between playing a warlock again or playing a Priest because i like to dungeon and heal. Warlock leveling was such a chill experience with the pet, how Is the leveling experience with the Priest?
Hey everyone! With Project Epoch picking up players again, I'm trying to figure out where to settle this time.
My primary goal is PvP – mainly arenas – but I also love PvE and don't want to lock myself out of it. When I played back in November I was on Gurubashi, and over time I realized that being on a full PvP realm was slowly closing the door on the PvE side of the game.
Kezan has 3–4x the population of Gurubashi and with Warmode you can still get your PvP – so it seems like the smarter choice. But it only makes sense if there's actually a PvP community there.

With the shutdown of TurtleWOW (which is sad), there i 😒 now a possibility for the Ascension team to bring a big pack of the Twow playerbase to Epoch, and make it like again, but announcing the recruitment of a new team of devs so to support Epoch.

I love tanking but id like to know which classes can tank here and how they feel? Most important for me is aoe threat, i really didnt enjoy warrior tanking in original vanilla but it doesnt have to be as strong as shockwave warrior.
The old man plays ranged dps exclusively and The gf usually does druid healing so any input on those roles are appreciated aswell

Still trying to figure it out if i should just retire from wow or go agane.
In the Ascension launcher, I couldn't get the option to install Epoch (13 GB) until I installed Ascension (40 GB) first. I deleted Ascension afterwards, and now the launcher won't allow me to switch to Epoch - the arrow is missing in the UI, and now there's only an "Install" button for Ascension again.
Never played Healer, only tank and Dps. Wanna try something different, if anything is stronger than others in here please do mention it. Don't mind leveling from 0
As title says, I’m NA west coast and I’m wondering what kind of ping yall are getting? I got to level 3 and was averaging around 165ms which was definitely noticeable to the point I decided to log off… do you guys get used to it?
Just wondering if Epoch is any safer in terms of hosting location from Blizz than Turtle was. I want to start here but just anxious about it getting shut down. Thanks
Was on the twow pvp server and honestly I can’t 100% enjoy wow if I don’t PvP on the side, so I’m thinking of joining Gurubashi cause all my guild is migrating here. Nice to meet you all!
What is the state of Warlocks in PvP? I never had one and thinking this could be an opportunity to learn, I’m just afraid of playing casters.
What about ret pallys in PvP? Was thinking about it mostly cause I can play tank for pve, but I’m really not sure how viable they are.
What about shamans? Can they perform in PvP with 2h enhancement?
Generally any info or help regarding the state of classes in PvP is super appreciated. I’ve played rogue for years and I really don’t want to roll another rogue haha.
Been playing since launch and noticed a lot of newcomers and returning players asking what's changed since launch, so I went through the entire official changelog and categorized everything properly to help you catch up. It covers everything shared officially.

This server moves fast. A lot of things that were broken at launch are now fixed. If you played early and left, the game is in a significantly cleaner state than it was. Some highlights worth knowing before you jump in:
- Several specs have been meaningfully reworked
- Two World Bosses live (Volchan live since September 28th, 25 and Lord Kazzak live since March 17th, 26)
- Onyxia's Lair - Live since December 20th, 26, and received multiple rounds of encounter and loot fixes
- PvP Season 1 - Live since March 17 with 400+ new items, Gillijim's Isle battleground, ranked arenas, and Conquest gear
- A ton of quest chains that were broken at launch have since been resolved - if something didn't work when you tried it, it's worth revisiting
- Molten Core raid is officially stated in the changelog for release at the end of April.
Don't expect Epoch to receive much promotion from Ascension - this has to be a community-driven project. Just play, have fun, and if you enjoy it, it's on us to spread the word and bring more people in.
The reason for the low profile is straightforward: the team already received a C&D letter a few months ago. The remaining members from the original dev team who still work in the shadows on Epoch today are intentionally keeping a low profile to avoid further legal exposure. The reality of private servers is that visibility invites risk, and recent news in the scene validates exactly that. So share it with friends, talk about it where it makes sense, but understand why the project itself won't be doing it for us.

Can you group with anyone or is it restricted? Are there hardcore-only guilds?
Also, is there any channel/Discord or something where hardcore players hang out and talk?
And about rewards, what do you actually get for doing it? Does it end at level 60 or is there more after that?

Hey all, another TWoW refugee here.
I really enjoyed the ability to tank as a Shaman on TWoW. Is that something that is viable here? I'm trying to find a talent calculator, but it appears the website is under maintenance / development so I can't play around.
Additionally, how does LFG work here? At TWoW it was just a friend (healer) and myself (tank) queueing for LFG and it was near instant due to our setup, it was really fun.

Looking to roll here and I kind of want to roll Shadow priest but they can be really hit or miss so im wondering how good they are? Mostly for pvp. If anyone whas played the class with decent gear has insight that would be great thanks

Are Balance druids still subpar for PvE & PvP?
