im super drunk rn but i just miss poptropica so much. i miss when people actually Wanted to create games for children that were actually fun and educational. the divide between pre-teen/teen and adult entertainment is too blurry now. kids should have their own media. i hate the direction our future is turning to. sorry im drunk. i miss poptropica. playing astro knights rn.
appreciation post for my dr hare mii on tomodachi island
The evidence is that there's concept art for Super Villain Island which depicts a robot that combines aspects of the island's main villains. The sombrero on the robot seems to hint at El Mustachio Grande. Also, a Daily Pop from around the time of the island's release asks players about who their favourite Poptropica villain is, and among the options is El Mustachio Grande. That's weird, since he's not one of Poptropica's most popular villains like the other options are. Lastly, a sneak-peak picture shows five containment chambers in Dr. Jupiter's lab instead of four, even though we only go to the dreams of four villains during the main story of the island (excluding the bonus quest).

The Mystery of the Forgotten Islands Pages 9-14.
Artist's Notes: Page 10 is one of my favorite pages because of the map. It was fun drawing that and adding the textures for it.
Background: Poptropica is an online game that features an adventurer traveling the ocean, exploring many different islands, and helping the people on those islands with their problems. Poptropica once had a wide variety of different islands to explore ranging from traveling the Wild West, to becoming a secret agent, to solving mysteries on a train. Unfortunately in 2020, the game engine that ran Poptropica, Adobe Flash, shut down. The shutdown of Adobe Flash caused most of Poptropica’s islands to disappear.
This story takes place in the disarrayed state that Poptropica is in now. There are only a handful of islands that remain in the world. Tough Spinner, a long time adventurer, attempts to solve Poptropica’s biggest mystery. Whatever happened to the old islands of Poptropica?
