So one for the obscure history buffs here. The holden/pontiac collaboration actually goes back to the late 1920's when pontiac sent knock down kits over to Australia to be assembled at the holden plant. Holden assembled various models of pontiac (along side home grown holdens) right up until 1969. During the 50's and 60's holden assembled the parisienne and the laurentian and due to the use of a mix of chevrolet, pontiac and also a few Australian made parts to meet AUS compliance they got the nickname "cheviacs" by the public. After the last pontiac rolled of the assembly line in 1969 holden focused on there own line of vehicles but during the 70' and 80's a company produced trans am fronts specifically to fit holdens which became a popular modification in the car scene.

They are not getting a lot here in Fresno - likely no cars from Sacramento, for example - do this was an all-GM meet that I enjoyed driving to. For some reason this sub wont let me load to the max of 20 pics so I’ll submit just one example of each model.
That was a helluva ride to park in my garage. Absolutely stunning.
2003 Bonneville SSEI.
I got this last October and with a little work this is probably one of the best cars I’ve ever had I used to own an 06 but that was only a base model
