Completed a gen 4 living Dex incl mythicals

Currently fulfilling a childhood wish of completing the Pokédex in every mainline Pokémon game. Just finished gen 4 and got a full living Dex in Platinum. I've also completed all the national dexes in Diamond, Pearl, HeartGold & SoulSilver.

For Platinum and assembling the main living Dex pictured - this was nowhere near as tedious as finishing gen 3's living dex with the amount of games needed there (all 5 main games + GameCube games). Every Pokémon that could be obtained in Platinum was caught in game for this living Dex (including a legit Honey Tree Munchlax). The remainder were traded in from other gen 4 games.

After completing Platinum's living Dex, I worked on completing the dexes in the other 4 gen 4 games. I really wish there was a Pokémon Box equivalent for this gen. It would've made things so much easier!

It took a long time transferring Pokémon up from gen 3 (where I had completed living Dexes for each regional Dex in RS FRLG), thanks to the stupid 6 Pokémon per 24 hours limit. This was for the Kanto and Hoenn sections in Diamond & Pearl. Some Johto Pokémon were transferred up while others were from HGSS. All Sinnoh Pokémon were obtained in both Diamond & Pearl, alongside in Platinum for the main living Dex. This helped complete the DP dexes.

After finishing the transfers up, some Hoenn & Sinnoh Pokémon were touched traded from DP to HGSS to register the Dex entries. Combined with completing Johto living dexes there, this helped complete the Dex in those 2 games.

Fortunately, all the legendaries could be obtained within the 5 gen 4 games for the main Platinum living Dex, once I obtained the event Regigigas. Thankfully I was able to get the unobtainable mythicals using the DNS exploit, as I sadly was never able to get these as a kid back in the day.

Aside from the DNS exploit (which I don't really consider cheating), no cheats were used at all for completing these dexes and assembling the Platinum living Dex.

The platinum living Dex will stay in that game. Onto gen 5 next. It's been a while since I played a Unova game, so I'm really looking forward to it!

I'm attempting the ultimate Pokémon challenge: Finishing EVERY game with a unique team and 100% completion!

Hey everyone!

I’ve decided to start a pretty massive personal challenge. My goal is to beat every single Pokémon game using a completely different team every time. No repeats allowed!

I'm starting from the classics and my dream is to eventually make it all the way to Scarlet & Violet (and beyond). To make things even more intense, I’m aiming for 100% completion in every run—filling the Pokédex and finishing all post-game content.

So far, I’ve completed:

FireRed & LeafGreen

Emerald

HeartGold

Platinum

I just started my journey in Sapphire, and I’d love to hear your suggestions!

What are some fun, underrated, or powerhouse teams I should try for Sapphire? Also, if you have any tips for staying sane while grinding for that 100% completion, let me know!

Pokemon Diamond Corrupted Save File.

Hi, sorry if this is the wrong subreddit i didnt know whether to do r/pokemondimaond, r/pokemonsavefiles or smth like r/sdcards, so im going here to see if anyone can help at all!

I recently got a DSpico (a ds flashcart similar to an R4 cart), and had played through Pokemon Diamond on there. I knew the SD card I was using was slightly faulty so I made an effort to back up the save file to my pc every now and then.

You can probably tell where this is going lol, the SD card corrupted. So, I used a program called Disk Drill to attempt to recover said save file. The program found it.

However, the main problem, the save file is corrupted, so much so, that not even PKhex will recognise it!

Anyone got any tips to point me in the right direction or any way of fixing this? I've heard of things like seeing the binary? Like patching it or something? Is there any programs that do this?

Need help with Munchlax honey tree

So I’m trying to find a munchlax from 2 of the 4 specific honey trees and I learned if you immediately slather a tree after the encounter you get a 90% chance of encountering the same pokemon of that group. So do I check one tree than fly and check the other tree and back again to slather? How do I go about not getting that 90% to work against me

Ready for my 10 hour drive tomorrow

Driving to Nevada tomorrow and decided to restart Diamond with the goal to beat the Champion by the end of the drive.

Decided to trade over a Cyndaquil (Zuko) as my starter. Excited for this journey. Got a couple ideas for other team members but most of it is unplanned.

Is this a good playthrough team?

For a bit of context, I’ve traded over a hatched Swinub from a copy of Platinum so I could use Mamo for more than 1 gym and the league. I purchased Japanese copies of both games off WhatNot and Platinum was at the league, which I was hoping one would be since I want to transfer up my shiny Wheezing from Ruby.
