Do you go with a group, join a group, or play solo?
This is my first go fest and curious on the dynamics. Do people usually play in groups? Do you wander solo on city days knowing raids will still fill? Trying to figure out what the best way to play is or if it’s just preference?
Like if I want to raid but I’m solo won’t be a problem?

How does city play work?
My son and I have Saturday afternoon park passes. Can we just generally play around the city at all other times as well? Or is anything special needed for that?

Hop on hop off bus
Im planning playing all 4 days, thursday-sunday, and figured id save myself some pain by utilizing the hop on hop off bus, anyone have experience with how the route is/how playing on one of these is?

The last few years at in-person GoFest, we have always had rotating habitat spawns. Should we expecting more spawns to be released soon or is this it? If this is it I’m going to be super disappointed…

Go Fest Trading!

Also open to powering a pokemon up to level 40 before trading it to you if you're looking for something meta relevant (Origin Dialga, Palkia, Zacian, Zam, etc.).

Rayquaza trade
Anyone attending have a lot of non-shiny Rayquaza for a trade? First time visiting Chicago. Attending Friday morning slot. Will be out and about in the city on Saturday.
Been on and off since 2016. Took a break after 2017 and returned from 2021 to 2022. Took another break in 2022 and started again after my child gained interest in Pokemon around March 2026.
Might not have much that are rare or desirable but I have some shinies from this year.
Above and also this following ask are big asks but looking for three trades. Myself, Wife and child. If not possible with all, just the child will do.

My first Go Fest... How should I prepare?
Some background:
My wife and I will be driving in and get to Chicago ~11am on Saturday morning
We have the Sunday Morning Park experience booked as well as the Saturday citywide gameplay pass. We both also have 3rd party autospin/catchers. We plan to play a lot, but also will want to see the shed aquarium on saturday afternoon and Navy Pier at night.
We will leave Chicago in the early afternoon on Sunday to head back home.
My account as of today:
- Level 58,
- 1200 Pokémon storage (I keep about 1000 pokemon I like, so ~200 free slots right now)
- 1700 item storage
- 600+ ultra balls
- 400+ golden razz berries
- 19 premium Battle passes
- 21 Lucky Eggs
- 27 Star Pieces
- 22 Lure Modules
- ~500,000 stardust
- 414 coins
Our main goals of this trip is to fill out our pokedex as best we can with things we can't normally get (we live near Detroit) ... What should I focus on for the next month in order to prepare?

Park experience Saturday Morning - Looking for a Zangoose
Figured I'd put this out there since there's no harm in trying.
I'm trying to finish my Hoenn dex for the platinum and wasn't playing when Zangoose was available before. Is there anyone who will be playing park experience on Saturday morning that might have an extra to trade me?

Armored Mewtwo
My 7 year old nephew has been begging for armored Mewtwo ever since a buddy traded me one. The rarest thing to offer from his account is a shiny Kecleon. Our park day is Friday Morning if anyone is willing to trade with him.

I tried to buy tickets to the Pokemon fossil exhibit at the Field Museum for June 6 or 7 and they’re sold out 😭😭 We will only be visiting that weekend for Go Fest. Any tips for other ways to get tickets?
