Zookeeper is basically a Pokemon trainer, and should therefore have a small percentage chance to get an alternative encounter with him where one of his friends are shiny :3

It would also be a cool concept of getting alternative encounters

The Party Float item as a monster encounter

I really like what I did here, all of the robots are partying and you show up and crash the party. The balloon bot gets angry and will be the main damage source thanks to the shield from the party float. The Walter Cooler is in this board to pass drinks during the party, just a nice little touch.

paternity leave Jules runs

I was meaning to upload all of them but the limit is 20 images. Eight of the runs I either didn't find Spice Rack or wasn't set up for it when I did.

Crash site increases the frequency of finding the "slow on non-weapon use" skill, which, in addition to Food Coma (slow food on food use), opens up Hot Box scaling as an alternative to Spice Rack. Slow-trigger burn and/or infinite loops with Serving Platter (or Pantry for an extra-free 10-win) are the most degenerate builds, which is what is needed to close out if you lose the early days.

I do miss the defensive Jules builds, and/or being able to suddenly pivot to freeze in the middle of a run. Now they aren't worth it. Any pivoting with Jules now is just between different kinds of burn. I do sometimes use weapons early, and I have used Cutlery Forge in the midgame when I'm needing a bridge to real scaling. Cleaver IS still good, just MUCH harder to abuse since Caviar is now almost always unplayable. I still buy it though!! Might get a Pitchfork!

Anyway. Jules burn is OP. I don't alllllways get 10 wins... but I'm not far off :)

Did this game get harder in recent months, or am I just worse?

I used to average like 9 wins in previous patches. Been playing since the beginning. Now I average like 6. Every fight seems so difficult.

Knee Brace nerf is outdated

Back in the day Knee Brace got nerfed pretty hard, its effect was basically cut in half because it was too strong early on

But since then the game has changed a lot. Heroes now gain more HP per level, overall survivability is higher, at that time Mak started with only 200 HP

At the same time Knee Brace just stayed the same and now feels kind of underwhelming compared to what it used to be

I honestly don’t think it would be as broken as it once was considering how much the game has changed

What do you think?

600+ hours and this is my best/luckiest build yet (reverse 0-8 sweep)

Radiant Atlatl, triple damage, quadruple crit, charging itself 12 times after first use. It would do 228 more damage after each use, leading it to do about 78,000 damage before running out of steam. After the first use, it would freeze an item for 3 seconds as well.

I literally lost my first 8 days, then got the One Shot One Kill skill. After that, I proceeded to clutch every game.

Finally got the diamond victory on a Hobo run (no purchasing). What's the next challenge?

What is the difference in the game's difficulty level in ranked versus normal?

Is there a difference in the difficulty setting between ranked and normal? Is it just that most people are "try hard" in ranked, which leads to more optimized builds, making the game feel more difficult?
