More photos of the BRP Rajah Sulayman PS-20 OPV, BRP Diego Silang FFG-7 Guided Missile Frigate, and BRP Tarlac LD-601 LPD in Cebu.

More photos of the Philippine Navy 🇵🇭's BRP Rajah Sulayman (PS-20) Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV), BRP Diego Silang (FFG-7) Guided Missile Frigate, and BRP Tarlac (LD-601) LPD, docked in Cebu. The Philippine Navy is aiming to boost their Anti-Submarine Warfare capabilities, with the new OPVs and Frigates. The six ordered HDP-2200 Offshore Patrol Vessels will have Anti-Submarine Warfare capabilities, hopefully it will be upgraded later on with Surface-to-air Missiles and Anti-ship Missiles, to make it a real Corvette.

How might the KF-21 Blk II delay affect DND’s decision on the MRF Project?

I know many still doubt whether the MRF saga will end this year, and whether the KF-21 was even DND’s preferred choice. But let’s assume the rumors of DND signing for KF-21 Blk I this year were true.

Do you think the possibility of faster Blk II development was one of the factors DND may have considered when looking at the KF-21? Now that Blk II mass production is reportedly delayed, do you see this news influencing DND’s decision-making whether they select another MRF model or further prolong the MRF Saga?

Do you think the Procurement of Israeli tech is dead?

We haven't heard a word for the Sabrahs since especially the Wheeled Pandur ones, the Sabrahs have ASCOD chassis, chassis that came from Spain which have an absolute hatred towards the Jewish Zionist State, and because of this I think they stopped making those aswell, the Guarani ones meanwhile were still making headway but why do we have to rely on Israelis when we have Brazil producing them, did the Brazilians relief on them instead of their indigenous factories?

Also acoording to this from Facebook

>In the last few years, it has become difficult for the Philippines to rely on defense imports from Israel, due to serious delivery delays, an apparent lack of interest by Israel to place the Philippines as a priority customer, and political reasons. Israel says that it is due to the prioritization of the Israel Defense Force in its supply chains although Israel's defense industry has already resumed its exports push but appears to have left the Philippines in a bind.

>It would be noted that Israel's Elbit Systems has yet to deliver the entire order of Sabrah light tanks the Department of National Defense ordered in 2021 under the Light Tank Acquisition Project, which comprises of 18 ASCOD 2 Sabrah light tanks, 1 ASCOD 2 armored recovery vehicle, 1 ASCOD 2 command vehicle, 10 Pandur II Sabrah wheeled tanks, 2 Pandur 2 armored personnel carriers, 3 tank transporters, and 5 sniper detection systems. Not to mention delays in the delivery of the Guarani 6x6 APCs under the Wheeled APC Acquisition Project.

>although Israel's defense industry has already resumed its exports push but appears to have left the Philippines in a bind.

This probably means that were at the bottom of the list of exports given by Israel since theirs a series of sanctions and blacklisting by Pro Palestinian nations that prevented exports to willing customers and I believe the Philippines is one of them taking the brunt of it

I have a feeling of dread that these are all cancelled given the fact that it's been ages since Israel gave us these promises to deliver these systems, and most systems were yet to be delivered but given the current circumstances of Israel now I believe we will acquired these after Israels wars were ended if not at all

Plus some of these systems were currently in production by Pro Pali Nations so there's a chance that they (well imo allegedly) delayed such systems deliberately in sake of supporting Palestine and the two state solution against Bibi Netanyahu (ASCOD systems) or others that have to tread lightly to avoid political backlash (Pandur Systems from Czechia/Austria)

Same Applied to Drone, Naval, and Weapon Acquisitions

So now what?

If we acquire from Japan and South Korea it'll be a long wait, ships were quick sure but other assets like AT1K Raybolts, Armoured Vehicles, and Even Aircraft like the (FA50s)

US assets were far more longer despite FastTracking

We haven't heard from acquisitions from Europe and Turkey since

As of now I fear the military procurement will be doomed if there's no good progress as of now...

Korea recognizes that a defense export showdown with Japan is inevitable.

Japan, which recently authorized the export of lethal weapons, has launched a full-scale arms sales campaign by participating in a naval vessel sinking exercise in the Philippines. Using this multi-country joint military exercise as a springboard, Japan demonstrated the strike capabilities of its missiles. Going forward, competition with our defense companies appears inevitable.
