Not done connecting everything (obviously). I’ll straighten the pedals and tie up cables once I’m sure it’s all working correctly.

Hi! First time poster here. I want to change my gain options (I currently use a Rat and Big Muff) - I no longer am into fuzz tone as a gain option. I’m thinking of switching to doing something like stacking a Blues Driver as an always on gain into a “tweed in a box” pedal (I love Neil Young tone), and keeping the Rat as another distortion flavor. My questions are:

  1. Does anyone have experience with this and is using the BD the right always on OD here, or would you recommend another?

  2. Anyone have specific recommendations on “tweed in a box” pedals? I’ve seen some demos on the Catalinbread Formula No. 55 and Wampler 57/Wampler 65 that sound cool. The Origin Deluxe55 looks cool too but is pretty expensive so not sure if it is worth it compared to the others.

  3. Anyone recommendations on settings to get that NY tone are appreciated! I’m also a big Built to Spill fan and if I can push that sound from this stack I’d appreciate feedback on how to do that as well

Thanks in advance!
