Quiet, beautiful day at Condo in Thailand due to Low Season
Very sunny day. Humidity isn’t too bad

There is a huge shift in wealth that is happening worldwide. There is a huge AI and memory boom and South Korea is becoming very wealthy from this. This will bring very high spending tourists in South Korea. Americans will no longer be top dog and gap won’t be close. This is not a troll but a reality that is already happening but will be in full swing soon.
As you know, South Korea company Samsung workers are striking because they are upset at their bonuses compared to another South Korean company Sk Hynix. These are both semiconductor, memory companies (although Samsung also is electronics).
Samsung workers are negotiating a 340,000 annual dollar bonus which they are not happy about because every Sk Hynix employee is expected to be getting close to 1 million dollar annual bonus for the next 10 years. This is not pay, benefits or sick days. This is just bonus.
I’m mentioning this because companies in the USA with thousands of employees are not doing this. The massive increases of wealth from AI will affect many countries populations which will then affect tourism. With this level of wealth and South Korea in closer proximity to Thailand, you will see a major shift in how Americans are treated compared to the past (also do to other factors that will not be discussed). The shift is already happening but this is something that is to be aware because it will come up in the future.
A couple of people in Thailand are always in debt. Even a very close Thai relative (who I don’t talk often with) to my half Thai child asked me for money to pay off a bank loan (as seen in comment).
How bad is debt situation really in Thailand? Is this just a way of life for some people or the situation is that precarious?
Visiting Pattaya in a couple of weeks. I’m pretty easy going, not picky.
Looking for good bars, GCs for day fun and prices and any other pointers?
Highly recommend. Brought me and the GF to one in Pattaya. Bill came out to bring 12,000 baht. But food, service and presentation are top notch.
Recently went into the bar on soi pothole after I saw a couple of cute girls. Ordered a water and was on my phone.
In the corner of my eye I see some movement. As I look, I immediately recognize what’s going. A rat the size of a possum scurried from the front to back of the bar and disappeared out of sight. All the girls seemed unbothered.
After that, I decided I was good on that street and promptly left. No thanks. Rat infested bars is not my thing. And for anyone who hasn’t been to Pattaya, this isn’t common.
There are still some nice ones but nowhere near the level of 2021-2023 and earlier. The few theories I have is that it could be due to the farang managers leaving. Or the Nightwish group cutting the recruitment budget to fatten their bottom line.
If you look at Baba group, there quality overall is similar to how it was a couple years back. Does anyone have any theories or know what’s really going behind the scene?
Just your neighbourly guy who make Cinematic Thailand usually Pattaya video thanks - Cine 🇹🇭
Videos and content is authentic. Post real updates and ground level film from encounters. Can see for yourself how things are going or things have been.
Her first day working in the bar in Pattaya. Had conversation and played games. 19 years old.
Wiling to swing by and buy her a few drinks.
This behavior is getting out of hand smh
Starting to notice I’m packing on some pounds. Thailand can afford you many luxuries and that can be a problem in itself. I don’t want to look like some farangs here in Thailand that have big beer bellies. It’s just not aesthetics. It’s also health issues.
For those successful, how have yall managed your weight while loving or visiting here?
