Recommendations for board that fits two seated adults and large dog?

Hello. My wife and I are looking into replacing our existing kayak as it's too small to comfortably fit both of us and our dog (70lb lab). In total the three of us weigh ~355lb.

Out ideal setup:

  • Ability to add two slightly elevated seats (we would rarely use it standing up)
  • Space for the dog in the front or back (we don't want him in the middle of us crammed between someone's legs)
  • Additional space for a small cooler and dry bag

I've been researching inflatable paddleboards but feel stuck on if this would be a realistic solution for us. I like the idea of how much storage space it would save, quick setup, and having a harder surface for the dog, but haven't been able to find many examples of setups similar to what I think we'd need.

I saw a new option listed at Costco (Aqua Marina Super Trip Tandem 14') and figured we might be able to add our own seats to that, but it’s pretty inexpensive for the size so was concerned about the quality.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. We'd only be using it a few times per year on our weekend camping trips to the lake. Our budget is flexible but would be nice to keep it under $1,000 if possible. Thanks!

First time on my Glide Board!

First time out on my Glide Backwater Board was a blast! I was blown away with how stable it was while I was fishing. Could comfortably stand and fish and even turn around etc. while netting fish. Anyone else tried out a glide board before? Excited to get some of the attachments for it soon!

Paddleboard Saddle

I was born with club feet, both turned upside down and backwards. (The worst kind)
As a result, one leg is slightly shorter, and both calf muscles are severely undersized. My balance is *crap* I'll probably never be able to comfortably stand on a paddleboard.
I REALLY wanted to get into paddleboarding, but because of my feet (and 17 foot surgeries through my life to enable me to walk) kneeling for extended periods of time is quite painful.
I tried a ton of friends different boards, some of which were quite expensive. Finally bought the cheapest inflatable I could find on amazon, and decided I'd just deal with the pain.
Then I found this inflatable saddle from ZUP.
Let me tell you, it's a complete game-changer. It gets me up so I'm not sitting on my feet. It gives me enough knee extension that nothing falls asleep.
I paddled saturday and sunday this weekend, 4.8 miles each day. My previous best was a little over half a mile before my foot pain was too much to handle.
I'm not affiliated with ZUP, and my situation is different than almost everyone, but for me it has created much joy. I'm so happy to be out paddling.

Need help to find a generic fin replacement

Hi everyone,

I recently broke one of the side fins on my Tobin Endeavor paddle board (purchased at Costco), and I’ve been having trouble finding a reasonably priced replacement.

If anyone knows where I can find an affordable option that fits, I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!

Usual “help me pick” post

Hey all! I’ve been lucky enough to use my sisters shitty paddleboard for a couple months, and it finally popped on me. It cant be fixed, and I’ve also realized I love doing this so I want to invest in my own board. Minimum I’ll be using it a couple of times a month, but more than likely once or twice a week. I’m in Florida, USA so I have a lot of water around me.

Couple of things:

  1. I need a hybrid SUP and kayak. I’d like a jack of all trades type board.
  2. I always have extra gear and hope to eventually do one or two night camping trips using the board.
  3. For the most part I’ll be using it alone, but occasionally inviting a second person. If there’s another person, it’ll only be for short day trips.
  4. Has to be inflatable.

I’m currently looking at a couple of boards. Opinions on these boards (and brands) are welcome! Other suggestions are also welcome. Thanks!

I’m considering :

The Mediterranean Sea on my SUP

Wind speed was 8 knots, and the wave height was close to 40 cm. A very enjoyable day out. I use a small rock as my anchor in shallow water.

Paddleboard identification help

Found this paddle board online for sale. I tried googling it but I can't find any matches. Wondering if maybe the company has shut down since?

Tried a pet-friendly paddle board that actually makes sense for dogs

I’ve paddled with my dogs for a while, and one thing that always broke the flow was getting them back on the board after they jumped in. Most boards are “dog-friendly” in the sense that a dog can sit on them, but not really designed for how dogs actually move.

I recently tried the Nacatin Pawstep paddle board, and honestly the biggest difference was the wide dog ramp at the back. After swimming, my dogs could climb back up much more easily on their own instead of me having to awkwardly help every time. That alone saved time and made the whole outing feel smoother.

What I liked most was that it felt better for both me and the dogs. The board is stable and well-balanced, so it didn’t feel sketchy even with movement. It also feels solid enough for real use — easily handled one adult plus two big dogs.

I also like that it works for different dog sizes. Bigger dogs have enough space to reboard without feeling cramped, and smaller dogs seem more confident with the wider entry too. It makes the whole thing feel less like “bringing your dog along” and more like actually sharing the experience with them.

Overall, it just made paddling more fun. The dogs had more freedom to jump in, explore, and get back on without turning every swim break into a whole production. Thought I’d share in case anyone else paddles with dogs and has been frustrated by the reboarding part.

Pau Hana Navio

Anyone have experience with this board? Looking for a solid fishing board. Been looking for an affordable used rackham or yolo fisher rigged but the pau hana navio is about 1100 new. I just can't find a single review about it.
