Sending money home to Pacific Islands - what's your experience with remittance platforms?

I'm researching a startup idea that would potential make sending money to the Pacific Islands from Australia a lot cheaper.
I am interested to hear from anyone who has experience sending money this way.
I would love to hear from you, I'm interested to know which service you use and how much you usually pay in fees.
It seems like remittance to the Pacific Islands is unusually expensive, for e.g. what would it mean to you if you could use a service that only charged fees as low as 2.5% of transaction?
Appreciate any and all experiences anyone is willing to share.
