Radiography Program

Hi everyone! I’m really interested in applying to the Radiography (X-ray) program at PGCC and was hoping to hear from anyone who has been accepted or is currently in the program.

I had a few questions:

How competitive is the program overall?

What TEAS score did you have when you got accepted?

Did you complete all your prerequisites before applying, or were you still finishing some?

How long is the program once you’re accepted?

When does the application/petition usually open and close?

I’m trying to plan ahead and make sure I’m as prepared as possible, so any advice or personal experience would really help. Thank you!!

Do PGCC students struggle with food more than we think?

Hey everyone,

I’m a student at PGCC, and I’ve been looking into food insecurity on college campuses while doing research for a class and honestly… it seems way more common than people talk about.

I’m curious—How severe is this issue at PGCC?

Here are my main questions:

  • Do most students know about the food pantry and the resources PGCC provides ( ex.Owl Market)
  • Do many students struggle with food access or affordabilty on campus and beyond?

No pressure to share anything personal, just trying to get a real sense of what students are dealing with. I know our school has a rich history of helping students and surrounding communities with gaining access to food, especially within the last 5 years.

My goal is to gain understanding about this issue and how its currently affecting students and maybe start a student club that can spread awareness and combat food insecurity. Any input helps a lot. Thanks in advance.

Regards to RN to BSN Pathway

Hello. I’m a first sem nursing student at PGCC. I was wondering if there are any nursing students on here that did the RN-BSN pathway. What school did you choose? I’m thinking between frostberg and Towson. Which would be better? How was financial aid since it’ll be in the summer and winter? Did it impede your PGCC nursing classes? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

AP Research Survey

Hi Everyone,

I am a HS senior, currently conducting an independent AP Research project on Greenwashing. If anyone would like to take this opportunity to add to my data collection by taking this survey, you are welcome to do so.

This would be a completely anonymous, 5-to-10-minute Google Form, with additional informed consent on the first section of the form. Most of the written form questions are completely optional, so the most it might take is 10 minutes. I’ll put the link below for easy access (NO SIGN IN REQUIRED)

Thank You,

Are there any darkrooms for film development on campus?

Does anyone know if our campus has a darkroom or any film photography facilities?

I recently got into shooting 35mm film and wanted to see if there’s somewhere on campus to develop or scan photos. Even if it’s part of an art program or requires access, I’d love to know.

Thanks! Also if you shoot film I would love to connect.

Does anyone know the teacher Khairul Anam?

Hi everyone! I am planning on taking Ap2 over the summer and the only available teacher at UTC is Khairul Anam. Has anyone taken his class? I can’t find anything about him and I am a little worried.

PreReqs Vs Core Nursing Classes

There's such a huge ordeal with the prerequisites especially science prereqs and getting accepted and I'm wondering if the actual nursing classes are worse than this step? So my question is, all across the board not just PGCC it seems getting into the program is the most intense part, is this true? For current nursing students, are your actual core classes less intense than petitioning steps?
