A well‑known OpenBoR game from the recent past — Dynamic Edge, created by Scarlet Lupercalia — has finally received its completed version. A great beat ’em up with a story that became almost legendary during its development.

The original project was released as an unfinished version, clearly marked as 7.5 stages, with no plans for completion. Despite this, players enjoyed the gameplay and hoped for a long time that Scarlet would change her mind. That never happened — the project was abandoned and left without an official place for preservation. Over time, Dynamic Edge 7.5 became an iconic name within the OpenBoR community.

Today, however, a new developer — KennaSmoke — appears to have finished what was started. This OpenBoR project has finally reached its full form.

I present to you Dynamic Blade — now with a completed eighth stage and an overall improved edition.

In this video, I played as Arabian Moon Star. I faced tough alien creatures and fought against relentless enemies in the Punisher stage and Final Fight stage. The game is not only fun but also really challenging and difficult. Final Fight LNS Ultimate Redux is a fan-made OpenBOR game. Compared to previous versions, this edition features updated stages and music. The game includes 4 different modes: LNS Redux with 6 stages, Capcom Tour with 3 stages, Capcom All Stars with 7 stages, and Full Run mode with 8 stages.

Dungeons & Dragons: Knights & Dragons is a openbor fan-made tribute to Capcom's legendary arcade classics. In this video, I personally played through the game using the Wizard from the Knights of the Dragons roster. I hope you have an enjoyable and fun time watching!

This mod claims to be a direct remake of BoR, but unlike most similar projects, it doesn’t limit itself to a simple technical reproduction. It preserves the original concept, yet expands it into a much fuller and more refined form. This isn’t just a more complex or multi‑layered BoR — it’s real high‑level combat built around a deep combo system. This is OpenBoR at its best.

The crude, somewhat monotonous brawls from the original Senile Team game are reimagined here with real ambition. You get multiple routes, different bosses, about three hours of active gameplay, and tightly designed encounters that test not only your punches, but also your tactical thinking and reaction speed.

The game is genuinely addictive, with above‑average difficulty, several additional game modes, and plenty of surprises along the way.

Mortal Kombat Unlimited OpenBOR is a beat ’em up style game featuring Mortal Kombat characters, created by Magggas Greece in 2009. The game offers intense and brutal fights against countless enemies, who are also capable of performing smart and flexible combos. While the gameplay can be quite challenging, battling against diverse and tough opponents makes the experience even more enjoyable and exciting.

I was digging through some older OpenBoR projects and came across something pretty interesting — Women's War, a game by Burning King that features an entirely female roster pulled from different franchises. This title goes back to the Beats of Rage era, before OpenBoR evolved into what we know today.

For those of you who haven’t heard of this developer from the OpenBOR community: Wordsmith is an English creator who started working with OpenBOR with zero experience. His early games looked rough and cliché, but fans saw something different — something unusual and original.

The gameplay felt raw, energetic, and genuinely fun. The fighters were brutal and powerful, almost grotesque in their martial arts animations. It was a kind of beat ’em up style that hadn’t really been seen before.

Over time, Wordsmith’s projects improved technically, but his signature style remained the same — expressive, recognizable, and full of character.
