trying to figure out how someone who has never met him and cant see him would describe how his voice sounds for my fic

Is there any indication when Ace started, or how long it had been when he met Luffy in Alabasta? Trying to figure out the timeframe, but I can't find any specifics.

So, I've always felt like the "old era" had so much untapped potential for a darker story. I’ve been working on a Seinen-style reimagining of the Whitebeard Pirates' rise during that period, focusing on power-scaling while doing my best to keep the physics of Haki and Devil Fruits accurate! I’m really trying to capture the grit of the Yonko Era through pirate politics and influence of Cipher Pol.

At the heart of the conflict is Portgas D. Xenon, a character who balances a strange, almost innocent sense of "child-like wonder" with a cold efficiency on the battlefield. He is a walking contradiction who approaches world-ending stakes with the curiosity of a cat. So, the story follows the Whitebeard Pirates through the eyes of Xenon, a pirate scholar who bridges the gap between the crew and the secrets of Grand Line.

Core Themes:

Found Family: Despite the violence, the story focuses heavily on the bond between the Whitebeard commanders, featuring the protective guidance of Whitebeard, the tactical oversight of Marco, and the emotional grounding provided by Izou.

Lore Expansion: The story deep-dives into original locations like Solae, with details of native architecture, cultural superstitions, and biological traits of the local population.

Here is a quick summary of the saga:

The pirates of the Grand Line have split into two vast fronts: the fleets descended from the remnants of the Rocks Pirates, and everyone else struggling beneath their shadow. For a time, the world expected the seas to calm—Kaido had curled himself around Wano like a dragon claiming a throne, Big Mom was preoccupied chasing Whitebeard in hopes of marrying his son Xenon to her daughter Galette, and Whitebeard seemed content to hold his family close.

But the board flipped.

Kaido began manufacturing weapons and quietly fueling conflicts across the world. Big Mom discovered the machinery of imperialism and set her ambitions ablaze. And Whitebeard tightened his grip, determined to keep his sons from being swallowed by the brewing storms.

It's a pretty popular fic, so it shouldn't be hard to find, but I just can't find it anywhere.

Post-timeskip strawhats go to a fog/mystery island, where they meet the pre-timeskip strawhats. It's incomplete. It also has cover fanart made for it if that helps? Its the back of Zoro facing the Going Merry.

I'm realizing now that I only really remember the concept, but it was pretty unique.
