An Open Message to "NOBODY CARES / WORK HARDER"

Saw you driving along Hwy 370 in your dime-a-dozen pickup that let's you pretend you're a cowboy or whatever fuckin' ever. Might have been a generic enough ride for me not to even notice, except you'd gone to the trouble of putting "NOBODY CARES [line break] WORK HARDER" in the back window, in all caps, spelled out with 14 individual san-serif capital letter stickers.

I just wanna say, as a 58 year guy who's been working since 15, whose wife has been working full time as long as I've known her, who's kid is self-employed and making more money than I ever dreamed of at her age:

Go fuck yourself.

Cottonwood Hotel High Tea Review?

I've been looking for a fresh date idea for my wife and I saw the Cottonwood Hotel is offering High Tea daily. Has anyone been? It's a steep $50 a ticket and they don't offer a lot of info or photos, but I think she would love it if they do it well.

Any other fun / different date ideas would be appreciated if you feel like sharing, thank you!

Adopt Mary!

Mary is a 6 year old American Bully Mix. She's potty trained, leash trained, good with kids 6+, good home alone 6 hours. Her favorite activity is snuggling: pretending to be a weighted blanket.

She needs to be an only dog, no cats due to jealousy. She has allergies that if they flare up need to be treated by a vet. Currently she is on special dog food but no medications.

She is being fostered through a rescue but would love a permanent home of her own! Please email me for details joywolf83 at gmail. com

Nebraska Game and Parks on Instagram: "We are sad to share that Schramm Education Center's beloved common snapping turtle, affectionately nicknamed Big Snap Daddy, passed away on April 20, 2026.

Big Snap's health declined rapidly over the weekend, leading to the decision to humanely euthanize him on Monday. While heartbreaking, this decision was made with Big Snap's comfort and quality of life in mind. His goodbye was peaceful and painless, and he passed surrounded by the staff who have loved and cared for him. Big Snap left a lasting impression on thousands of people during his 30 years on display at the Schramm aquarium. He was believed to be the world's largest common snapping turtle, weighing 102 pounds, and was estimated to be between 96 and 100 years old. Big Snap Daddy will be dearly missed by those who cared for him and those who visited him. 📸: Nebraskaland Magazine (@nebraskaland) & NGPC staff #NeGameAndParks #OutdoorNebraska"

So many kids went through the Aquarium and saw that big guy.

Roofied/Rufied at the Omaha Funny Bone?

I am trying to make some sense of what happened to me the other night. I went and saw a 9:15pm show at the funny bone. Our server, Candace, was pretty rude off the bat. She made it clear she didn’t really want to be there or waiting on us. I had the 2 drink minimum and for some reason blacked out that night after I left. I don’t remember much and I couldn’t walk because I fell and messed myself up pretty bad. I’m not going to go into much more detail, but my question is, has anyone else in omaha ever left the funny bone feeling like they had been roofied? I don’t want to blame or blast but there is NO WAY it could have been some rando walking by. We were pretty much up front and I was at the front of a table of 6 people. One of my friends would have seen something like that. I don’t know if it could have been the waitress or something after, but my memory starts to get very fuzzy when I was leaving the bone that’s why I think it may have happened there. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Ethel Cain this Thursday

Hey everyone. Sioux Falls resident here. I was planning to go to Ethel Cain on Thursday and have two GA tickets through Ticketmaster. My dog is unwell and I don’t want to leave him so I’d like to get rid of the tickets. They cannot be transferred or sold for less per Ticketmaster rules but I’d love to sell them cheap or basically give them to someone. I can link my tickets and once I get the refund can send you money back.

This is truly not a scam, I’d just hate for the tickets to go unused and they aren’t selling on here. If you private message me we can talk on the phone or FaceTime so you know this is legit.

Catholic Church?

I think what I’m looking for is nonexistent, but I thought I’d ask anyways: is there any Catholic churches in the area that lean more liberal?

After everything that’s been going on, but also hearing what the pope has said and is doing, I’ve been curious about possibly attending mass. I grew up Catholic and have not truly gone to church in years, but I also don’t want to go where my family goes (as they are still actively involved).

I hope that what I’ve said makes sense and would really appreciate any insight or guidance. Or let me know if this is a lost cause. Thank you in advance!

Any Information on the 2x2s, aka The Church With No Name?

So, I've done a bit of research into possible cults around Omaha. There's plenty of information about the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen, Intercessors of the Lamb, World Mission Society of God, and Lord of Hosts.

What I CANNOT find information about, however, is the 2x2's, or the Church with No Name, and why they're associated with Omaha. I know that they do not have an actual church, and that they hold sermons and services in their "friends" (members of the cult) homes. They do a yearly congregation in York, Nebraska, where people from all over the country come to participate in the sermon. It seems as though there is a very deep history of known child abuse tied to this cult, and Omaha is a location that keeps popping up when doing research.

Has anyone from Omaha had any experiences with the 2x2's, or knows someone who has? Why is Omaha a prominent place for the 2x2's, but there's no information anywhere about them being around here? What prompted the FBI to investigate in Omaha?

>A downtown coffee shop has announced its closure, citing "the current state" of the area as the reason.

>According to the Manhattan's Coffee, Deli, and Grill's website, the last day for the 18th and Farnam streets location will be April 24.

>The coffee shop has another location inside of Aksarben Village.

>That location is staying open.

Here is an article about 'Manhattan's Coffee' when the location opened in December https://omahaexploration.com/2025/12/12/denny-brauns-manhattans-coffee-deli-grill/
