I've grown to like the events they put on and I think one samurai was a really good event. That being said knowing their current financial position unless things drastically change i doubt they will be around in 5 years. Maybe even less like 2 or 3. What's everyone thoughts on ones longevity?
I was just as shocked as everyone was after seeing Rodtang get knocked out, but never did I once believe it was a setup or fixed IMO. I do believe Chatri's and some people's opinion on Rodtang getting too comfortable recently which did lead to the weight issues he has had the past year or 2 (Explained really well by "Beckhxh" on Instagram). As you all know the lawsuit was right during Rodtang's fight camp for this event, so while our new version of Rodtang is dealing with all the drama, Takeru is training on some rocky montage type stuff to beat him in his retirement fight.
I love Rodtang and been a loyal Thai fan since the beginning but we cant forget that Takeru is one of the best Kickboxers of all time and that was his sport and this time he was fully healthy. I feel that all the factors were just againts Rodtang and Takeru really showed out for his retirement fight, I do not beilieve there was anything sketchy or any fixing going on. What do guys think of all the post fight drama currently going on in almost every social media platform??
Hey everyone, back with another breakdown.
Since Takeru’s 5th-round TKO at ONE Samurai 1, half the internet has been pushing the theory that the fight was fixed. The rumor? Rodtang takes a dive to give Takeru his Tokyo fairytale, and in exchange, ONE drops their lawsuit and lets him walk.
I spent the last 48 hours digging into the timeline for KickboxHub. When you look at the $17M breach-of-contract suit ONE filed just 15 days before the fight, and Rodtang's lawyers claiming his signatures were forged on English contracts, it looks like a perfect corporate setup.
But after breaking down the in-ring striking data and looking at how the 2026 Thai tax overhaul played into his sudden physical collapse, the "dive" theory falls apart. What actually happened is much crazier.
I put the full investigation and legal timeline together here: Did Rodtang Take a Dive Against Takeru at ONE Samurai 1?
Let me know what you guys think. Will ONE freeze him in litigation for years, or is there a chance he actually jumps to UTMA to fight Ahavat Gordon?
ONE HW Champion haven't defended his belt for more than a year. Last fight is in November 2024.

In this video, it’s just the same old issues rushing the weight cut in the last week, ending up with no energy and not being ready. This time he at least has another excuse to add, but I didn’t expect him to openly say he didn’t train because of his mental state. Though honestly, we all already knew he hadn’t been training anyway
It’s time to go back to opening One Piece cards! 🔥🔥😂
One Samurai 1 was a big success in terms of how entertaining the fights were and I really hope the next one in august is just as exciting as this one was. More specifically, imo these are my Top 3 favorite fights from that event in order:
Rodtang vs Takeru (Of Course, yall know how hype it was watching it live especially)
Shimon vs Johan Ghazli (Completely opposite of how I thought the fight would go, loved the ferocity of Shimon after the knockdown and Ghazlis grit and strength to endure the whole fight with confidence)
Yuya vs Avazbek (Extremely explosive and high-paced MMA fight with Avazbek showing crazy explosive and unorthodox striking and amazing grappling and takedowns while Yuya showed great endurance and takedown defence and escape but got caught with one of the cleanest spinning elbows I ever witnessed.
What do you guys think of this ranking? Lets hear everyones top 3 most exciting fights from the event and what made it so fun to watch.
Man, that fight was awesome. You need two to tango. Hope we'll see Rodtang back in the ring soon! Watch video here: https://youtu.be/3o7U5BrC3Ug
With ONE Samurai 2 officially being confirmed for August 8th, which fights would YOU like to see on the card? Title fights and non-title fights.
ONE Friday Fights 153 & The Inner Circle are bringing some banger matchups this Friday evening. We are seeing over 4 debuts in this card as well, which will be interesting to watch. Im looking forward most for Hern vs Chan, Khunponnoi vs Ye Yint and Worapon vs Tom Casse. Let me know what you guys think of this card, any predictions, Discussion around this card? As a oversees viewer, is this a exciting card for you guys as ONE FC Fans?
