What is the first thing you plan to do?

I know I'm not the only one excited for the NTE launch, and I was wondering what everyone's FIRST plan to do was. I know most people will be the main story, and they'll probably make you, to a point, but if you do get free rein, what are you gonna do?? For me, it would be online racing.

My honest quick first impression after playing in CN server for 5+ hours

I jumped in the game right after launch today and played none stop for over 5 hours. Here is my honest, first impression of the game so far.

I have never played previous Beta, and I play on PC at 2K with RTX 3070. I am native Chinese speaker so I understand all the story/plot

Start with good:

Graphic. The game has rich color, beautiful city designs and some really astonishing sightseeings to show you how beautiful the game is. However, some of the textures is quite generics and can feel cheap. But overall I’m very pleased with the graphic.

Cinematic & Vibe

The game uses a very traditional Japanese anime-style art direction. Overall, it has a lighthearted, humorous tone, with many cutscenes and moments that can bring a smile to your face. While the story itself is relatively simple, the presentation includes quite a few surprising and delightful touches making it enjoyable to watch

Open world. This is probably the first city based gacha open world. I spent good amount of time driving and walking around the city and I think that it feels like a live city but interesting things going on around different corners. I have only experienced a small part of the whole map so far but I enjoyed what I seen so far

Neutral:

Combat. Very generic 4 player team swap style combat. It has a mixture elements of wuwa, Genshin and ZZZ. Some characters have cool attack animations, but overall the hit feels really soft, and combats so far are pretty easy and you are just spamming light attack and use skills on cooldown.

Optimization. Overall the game feels smooth to play. There are frame drops occasionally but nothing game breaking. And I have never encountered any serious bugs or crash so far. I haven’t tried on Mobile but I heard it is not running well on Mobile….i hope they can make it better

Bad:

Character Design. Every single character I have seen so far is very mid and visually doesn’t look good in game. There are some characters that I like their personality, but visually none of them are attractive. It honestly doesn’t look like 2026 game especially when comparing to competitors like wuwa or endfield.

Plot. At least imo the main story is really boring, like I said there are funny scenes here and there but I don’t feel hooked to story at all. I don’t want to spoil here too much so will leave it for you to experience next week.

Conclusion: overall 7/10 so far. Will continue to play and experience the game but not sure yet if it would become one of my main game.

Subreddit Spoiler Policy (Global and CN regions)

Hello Appraiser,

With the official release of Neverness to Everness in the CN region, and imminent release on global, we want to update and remind everyone of our spoiler policy.

We know it's an exciting time and everyone's anticipation is high, but let's be mindful of our fellow Appraisers when it comes to posting about the game. Some players like to go in fresh and experience everything for themselves, while others want to see every bit of content the moment it's available. The SPOILER tag will help everyone enjoy NTE at their own pace.

  • For Global region: we will have a one-week spoiler free policy on this subreddit. This means that any and all main story and side story related content MUST be spoiler tagged for one week after release. Regular gameplay content is fine (e.g. combat, racing, mini games, character guides, silly encounters, etc.), unless there is lore-relevant content embedded in said gameplay. Best practice is if you're not sure, just add a spoiler tag to be safe.
  • Due to the CN version being one week ahead of global, ANY game content coming from that region MUST be spoiler tagged. This includes all gameplay, not just story content. Once the relevant content is available on global, spoiler tagging is no longer necessary for gameplay content.
  • Exceptions: any media released by official NTE accounts (not fan accounts, not unofficial sources/websites)
  • Lastly: LEAKS OF UNRELEASED CONTENT IS NEVER ALLOWED (this serious offense will be met with a permanent ban)

Please keep the above policy and guidelines in mind before posting game content. Thank you very much.

NTE in game shop packs

For anyone that's managed to play the CN version, what's the in game shop like? are there packs with tickets in like some games? or is it more similar to something like genshin where you just buy the currency outright and the value isn't quite there after the x2 bonus is gone.

Difference between Nanally and Mint combat

I like Mint more than Nanally, and I noticed they're both main DPS of the same element.

Can I use Mint in the same teams that Nanally uses, or does Mint want different things? How much worse is Mint compared to Nanally?

CN Reroll info?

Has anybody seen any cn streamers rerolling and know how long it takes per attempt, and how many pulls you have? I think we should have at least 30 standard pulls in the mail, so going for two 5* in those thirty is quite realistic.

Prior to release, NTE has just hit #1 on every single category on Bilibili

Yes, every single category, including the PC Game Ranking that Endfield has been dominating for the past 3 months and the B Index (which I think is some aggregate of popularity/search volume) ranking WuWa has been dominating since as far back as I can remember.

As another plus side, the reviews going into launch are significantly better than what Endfield had going into its launch. Also, before anyone asks, its no longer present in Reservation rankings as its technically downloadable now.

First day of NTE is so impressive

I'd like to say it's just beyond my expectations. The map is so big with so many details. I haven't played long, but I will definitely enjoy it. Interesting CG and animation just come up to you. And the mechanism of gacha is also good for us to get characters. My friends also enjoy the gameplay. The main character is cute, by the way. I'm going to explore the city more now! And it has perfect compatibility with ds5, if you have one, I strongly recommend using it to play

NTE - Characters Gear System & Passives Explained (Tetris System)

Hello everyone, it's me again!

Here for another mini-guide about the NTE gear system The Console which is basically a very different and visual gear system compared to other games which you can position each individual piece and make a set with the Cartridges and Tetris pieces.

Let make something really clear, there is very little RNG on NTE Gear system because you can preview ALL STATS before leveling up.

Right now there is 12 Types of Cartridges, six Elementals and six "General" ^((bottom left))

Every Character has this Tetris passive, which is basically based on Types, there is Type I, II and III, IV (there is no character in the game with Type IV passive at the moment) based on how big is the Tetris piece.

On top of that we of course have Cartridges sets which requires 4 specific Tetris pieces (among all types) so you can't just go and use all Type II or III and get like 60*% Crit Rate,* with Nanally full and optimal set I got 30% so (5 Type II) which was good enough to go like to 77-89% CR (with her banner weapon), so it's very balanced!

And every character has a different shape of Console.

Basically thats it, not that hard, I give a 8/10 because has so less RNG compared to other gachas and we will get some QOL as the game updates!

Just one week for the global launch

(Loved this face of Nanally, so silly)

I have a question, can you establish the hour of the day anytime? I wanna night drive in first person! And hear the sound of the engine doing it's job to take me everywhere...

NTE will be my chill/comfort/cozy game

Combat looks awesome, but I am really playing NTE for the incredibly chill vibes that come from activities like fishing, movies, driving, and everything else the open world environment has to offer.

It feels good to know the world Hotta has made feels very lived in and immersive.

Who else is here for the chill/cozy vibes?
