Wizard Trees is TRASH BEWARE

I used to work for Wizard͏ Trees in California and people in New York should be careful with that brand. From what I saw, they were spraying flowe͏r with nasty pesticides (Myclobutanil) and now they’re sending pro͏duct out from California into New York while having major financial problems back home because their products aren’t selling.

The owners constantly talked like New York buyers are dumb as fuck and would buy anything because they think they’re smarter than everyone out here. That alone should tell people everything they need to know about the company and how they look at consumers.

If you’re buy͏ing their flower in New York, I’d seriously double test that shit and pay attention to what you’re smoking. The people behind that company are scummy as hell and the flower is not what they pretend it is.

Sales at shops

I wish the Long Island shops would stop showing “specials” that aren’t really specials because 1)the deal is always available (meaning that’s the regular price) 2) all the other shops have the same deal

They should also stack deals like they do in California (legally they may not be allowed).

Alpine Argonomy - John Truffoleta - Flower

Price/Amount: $45/3.5g

Look/Feel: Beautiful light green nugs, heavily frosted with some purples and orange hairs poking through

Nose: Citrus and spice with a little berry

Method: Tempest v2 + j-hook, using wand at 600F until timeout

Taste: Creamy citrus with spice with a little funk and berry in the middle, hints of pine try to peak through, creamy sweet spice rests on the tongue

Effect: Hybrid, body relaxation without stoniness. Clarity and focus, mild energy, zero anxiety.

Conclusion: Beautiful flower, no doubt. Resinous trichromes and a bit of moisture. It was a bit muted when I first opened the jar, but has gotten better since.

Terps could be higher, but it was not dry, beautiful flower, and the taste was nice. Effect is pretty universal.

Do people actually prefer tinctures… or are edibles just easier??

Feels like tinctures have a better “controlled” experience once you figure them out, but edibles still dominate because they’re simpler.

What do you keep in rotation more?

MFNY Chemdog Live ROSIN

Taste: 8 - I can still pick up on the general profile but it did leave me wanting more flavor and smell wise. But this is after being so spoiled by the live resin version, which I think might be my favorite smelling and tasting cart of all time! If you love flavor and a faster head rush high go for the live resin on this one. I still get nostalgic notes of fuel and sulphur, but it’s more zoomed out in flavor and less likely to hit those specific notes like gym sock. This is also a little more wet earth. No limonene!

Effects: 9 - Love the Chemdog high. This is happy, creative, meditative. Great for introspection and relaxation. I’m finding the rosin version to be much more sedating/stoney but there’s still a euphoria to it. Higher risk for couch lock than the resin version. No limonene in this, maybe left behind during extraction, because the live resin version has over 1%. So there is noticeably less energy and focus. But this is still great for any time of day depending on your baseline. I found this to be an appetite suppressant to my surprise, but this is more so at onset. Overall this is still a unique high, reminds me of old times! Just more of a long sluggish high whereas the live resin version is a short productive high.

This is my third time trying a live rosin cart from mfny and my opinion stays the same- the rosin delivers a more full bodied / full spectrum high that lasts longer. I’m finding resin and rosin highlight different features of the same strain. This is my first time preferring a live resin over a live rosin from mfny but they’re still both great, just for different things!

Cannabinoids: D9-THC: 71.58% CBG: 2.27% THCA: 0.13% CBC: 0.56% THCV: 0.36%

Dispensaries that don’t pay their bills

The whole purpose of this discussion is really to identify bad actors in New York’s legal recreational cannabis market and help other brands avoid falling into the same traps.

A lot of newer brands come into the market excited just to get shelf space, not realizing some companies already have a reputation for buying inventory, selling through it, and then dragging out or avoiding payment entirely. By the time the new brand figures it out, the dispensary is already moving on to the next company.

It’s honestly like the “dine and dash” guy at a restaurant. Everyone in town knows he never pays the bill, but the new waiter doesn’t know yet.

The goal isn’t drama. It’s transparency, accountability, and protecting brands that are investing real money, time, and effort into building New York’s legal market the right way.

*** MODs are we able to do this, we don’t wanna break your rules of conduct?

Have any of you guys tried International Hash ?

They have a decent line up and decent price , the one thing that leaves me curious is why the terp percentages are so low , id be comparing to umamii or trout and co so i was wondering if they would still taste good

Major - Cali Orange 3.5g

Bag Appeal: 8

Smell: 10

Taste: 9.5

Smoke: 9

Effects: 9

Overall: 9.1

I usually wait a bit, roll a few, then write my reviews after much consideration over multiple runs with the strain i’m reviewing. There was one other time I jumped at getting some words out and that was last year’s first try of the Lituya Bay. That was months ago and there hasn’t really been anything that has piqued my interest this much since. I can’t even stress how much I want to have a large stash of this right now and will tell you all the reasons why you need to hard invest in some of this Cali Orange.

This flower looks beautiful, crystals all over, smell of orange rinds that keeps growing and growing as the bag stays open. There were good sized nugs inside and a few smaller ones but nothing that would scream underweight to the eye. That orange smell rubbed off on my fingers as I loaded it into the grinder and stuck on me. Joint burned clean and the smell translated to the taste so well with a little funky undertone. High was very heady and uplifting almost immediately and it brought me back to this CBX I smoked in Arizona in 2022. Even then i’m pretty sure I paid more for that CBX than I did for this at $47 after tax.

This was lovely and i’m dreading when I finish this bag. From talks with Lindsay at Major it’s not that the new mylars dropped in quality but the yield was so high they can afford the price drop. Any other company making that claim and i’m calling bullshit but after smoking this I know she’s right because this could definitely go for $50 pretax in a jar. This is packed with flavor and has such a nice high that really settles over time and lingers. Would definitely recommend especially for a less than $50 eighth if you’re looking an experience cause that’s what you get. OCM definitely needs to take a look at these labs because these numbers do not reflect what i’m seeing.

The botanist- What changed?

I know these are different strains but the quality seems wildly different. About a month apart from purchase. Looks like they redesigned the bag too. Anyone else notice a change with the new bags? Left- Bonkers which was sticky and dense. Right- Roasted garlic margy, dry and skimpy buds half stem half leaf Both 14g bags

Is there weed from dispensaries that doesn’t feel mid and are different from the rest?

I need something that will really “Zen” me out.

Golden Garden - Dante’s Inferno 3.5g

Bag Appeal: 8

Smell: 8

Taste: 7

Smoke: 8

Effects: 6.5

Overall: 7.5

Golden Garden has a wide variance in how I feel about their flower. Really enjoyed their Blue Zushi for the effects, Melted Strawberries was alright but not as exciting as I thought it would be. This was a bit better but not a huge knockout. Will give them credit though for a many things but there was a couple things lacking.

The packaging hasn’t changed much but there was a definite step up in what’s inside their mylar aesthetically. Buds were pretty big and I didn’t run to my scale afterwards. Smell was pretty pungent, garlicky funk with a hint of peppery goodness. The flower looked phenomenal and wasn’t overly dry, still a little bounce but not too sticky. Smoked very clean in a joint but I have to be brutally honest, the smell didn’t translate to taste much. Effects wise I was expecting more of a couch locked feeling but I was pretty up even late into the night smoking it. Wouldn’t claim it to be that energizing though or particularly hard hitting to the head.

At $40 before tax it definitely holds up in many sectors but is missing either that punch to really make it memorable or notable flavor. It is super pretty and smelly, so Golden Garden is still showing promise in some aspects. When compared to others close in that price bracket though they have a lot of competition and are going to have to work hard to stand above.

If u don’t get high from gummies…

I don’t get high from gummies, powders, tinctures, liquids, but I do get highs from homemade cookies.

Anyone else have this issue (it’s an issue because I’d love to see what the high is like since so many people like them)? If you do what edibles have worked for you, if any?

Good Vape Brand

Hi all,

I’ll be in Buffalo, NY in a few weeks, and I’m wondering what are the best bang for your buck vape brands I can find around there. Is Stiiizy any good?

u/mrck104 — 3 days ago

First time trying this brand was hesitant based off the price point however, once I opened the package, that smell was great. The buds are nice the photos tell a story for itself. The smell is great like on the nose, which I don’t tend to get a lot anymore from most the Weed on the market. Nice sticky buds smoke great would purchase again or try more from this brand

Alpine Agronomy - Lituya Bay 3.5g

Alpine Agronomy - Lituya Bay 3.5g

This was such a great experience i had to drop a review. I got this from Strong Strains in E. Setauket. You can grab this for $57/otd.Im pretty sure no one else in the area has it.

The smell was amazing a hits you right in the nose as soon as you open the jar. Notes of sour lemon, earthy must, and an undertone of berry are the most noticable notes.

The appearance is truly awesome. It is coated in a layer of trichromes that completely cover the green of the plant in some place. Barely touching it transferred enough resin to my fingers to cause them to stick together.

The smoke was smooth but full bodied, with a great flavor on the exhale. I barely coughed. And the high was strong behind the eyes which smoothly faded into the body.

I had a 10/10 experience with this one. I highly recommend it.

Find- Gush Mints

Gush mints

Smells fruity but not over powering. Sticky Dense buds. Breaks down nicely. Its slightly relaxed slightly euphoric slightly upbeat, making it feel like a good hybrid. It feels more indica-y. Not too much of a head high but a good visual and relaxed high. I like it better for day time for running errands while still being functional with a buzz.

Effects 8/10
