Mount for side mounting SFX PSU with mATX motherboards

The original mount holes for the PSU bracket are covered by the mATX motherboard. This bracket allows you to still install the PSU to the side of the case with a duct for getting cleaner airflow from the side vent (otherwise it tends to pull in warm GPU air).

I have gone with rear PSU cooler intake, and top exhaust. Since the GPU cooler is blow-through, top intake doesn't really work. I'm thinking of making a rear-intake duct for the CPU fan, but temps and fan speeds are fine already.

Just finished cleaning/dusting my old gaming rig. Thought I’d share a photo while it’s looking fresh.

I’ve got the CPU fans blowing out the back. Seems the common consensus is that intake is better. Thermals have never been an issue (4.8ghz overclock and 60-65C at full load). Is it worth flipping the fans around? Can anyone recommend a rear panel dust filter product?

Spent $50 on a cheap external monitor, a couple bucks on filament, and a bit of time modelling so I could make this custom LCD side panel for my NR200P Max. It protrudes about 4mm and give basically the same clearance as the tempered glass side panel, so temps are virtually unchanged. Prints on three separate plates and glue together. Snaps right into the side panel snaps(which CoolerMaster provided files to print extra).

Recent build. Ryzen 5 5600X, peerless assassin 90se white, b350i white motherboard, 2 exhaust fans from Thermalright, Sama GT 650w white PSU. White 3d printed ATX PSU bracket. 16gb DDR4 RAM white, Custom white painted Asus RTX 3070 GPU, 1tb NVME SSD with white heatsink, ARGB strip at the bottom of the case for underglow. This PC took forever because a lot of the parts had to manually painted by myself to match, like even the power cord that’s running at the top of the case and the USB 3 cable. Then I had some issues with fitting a 3 fan 3070 with the ATX psu as I unfortunately printed the low mounted PSU bracket instead of high mounted one so I had to modify it to make it work. The gpu just clears the cables that are coming out of the psu.

I recently changed my psu to CORSAIL sf1000, and noticed some difference. I did not change any of the airflow setup, but the up front fan actually exhausts COLD airflow now, other than hot airflow like before with a shitter psu.

I think it's because the SF1000 is a much cooler psu. But, the real concern is since it's venting out cold air, does it really help at all with the cooling? In picture 2, i tried to cover part of the side mesh with a sheet of paper, intending to create a vential airglow to help the GPU exhausting hot air. During my test, this change did make the up front fan exhausting a little warm air, but the overall temperature didn't make much difference.

I'm wondering, if i change the back fan and cpu cooler fan to intake, and take away the up end fan, will it make a big difference? I guess the dust will be more noticeable anyways.

My build:

CPU:i7-10700

GPU: 9070xt

PSU: CORSAIL SF 1000

Case: NR200

Temps: CPU:50-60 idle, 60-70 gaming GPU: 60+ gaming, memory 90+ gaming ( known for hot GPU memory, but i think it's fine)

Designing and prototyping a custom bottom case extension. It’s designed in two sections, the actual feet and an additional/optional base extension that utilizes the stock bottom panel.

The main reasoning behind this model is to improve bottom airflow and to allow addition space for mounting bottom fans when larger GPUs are installed.

The custom feet alone add an additional 30mm in space which allows for fans to installed externally on the underside of the case.

With the additional base included another 30mm height space is created which means that the fans can be installed internally within a new space made available.

This is still in prototype phase and design will change on the final model.

Would love some feedback/thoughts/ideas on this model, thanks!
